As you-know-what continues and there are no new events to post, I thought I'd look back at some old photos I've (mostly) not put on here before, In particular the American car (+ rods, customs and classics) meets at the Nag's Head in Cheshire, organised by Graham at American Automags.
As my work finds me driving on the M56 right now, it's reminded me of those monthly evenings just up the road. My memory fails me as to when it started but I'll say early nought-ies and carried on until 2013 when circumstances forced a change of venue.
At it's height it was a great monthly meet, often filling the car park with classic Yanks, rods, and other assorted interesting stuff. Then the management of the pub changed and the whole place went to the dogs. Eventually a re-development of the A556 forced the place to shut completely. The meet moved to a new venue a few miles West and carried on for a year or so but sort of fizzled out for various reasons. There was less space to park together away from regular punter's cars and maybe people had other things to do on a Wednesday night.
But it was good while it lasted. Made some friends there and saw a bunch of great cars, some are still a regular sight on the Northern scene while other's seemed to have disappeared without a trace.
I think most of these images are fairly self explanatory but feel free to add your questions or comments, or if you were there too, then add your memories.
