Hello, This has been been bugging me for ages and I may have worked out what the issue is (but probably not), can someone that currently can't Add Pictures on a new thread (but can on a reply) start a thread in the Website and Forum Stuff section and try to add a picture on their initial post. This is my testing that mine still works

With me, I can add images via the Full Reply method via drag and dropping, but the quick message "Add Pictures" button can be flaky; Drag and dropping doesn't work in the quick reply box IME ; it just puts the link up of the photo in my browser bar. It's no issue for me, as I have got it to work fine quite easily . That's with me using a Mac on both Safari or Chrome

My head hurts, I donโt know what any of it means? Mac = coat Safari = looking at animals in the wild Chrome = shiny, I quite like shiny All the other terminology is just white noise for me

Mac = coat Safari = looking at animals in the wild Chrome = shiny, I quite like shiny All the other terminology is just white noise for me On the assumption you are not joking/having a Mickey Bliss: -Mac = Apple Mac (MacBook Pro in my case) ; A type of Computer; I don't use Windows based PCs for personal stuff . -Safari = Apple's built-in web browser ; Think Internet Explorer on PCs -Chrome = Google's version of a Web Browser for Windows and Mac Operating Systems (i.e Windows 95, 98, NT, 8, 10 etc. etc.) I thought I'd say my experience, judging by HotWire trying to see where the issues lie with photo transfers. Personally, I'm happy that we have a means of doing it, even via the Full reply method. . It's one of the perks of this place. We had to look into the situations like this in a previous role of mine with User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

I go on my phone or computer, I turn it on & press things, that people (usually my kids) have showed me. I donโt understand how any of it works it is total witchcraft to me ๐

Okay, I'm working on some new stuff (you may notice) ... if you have this issue can you try again with the new button underneath the old one on the New Thread page. Don't drag and drop yet as I don't think that will work. @johnnybravo gtvivabrachunkydikkehemaworststrikey

Forgive my ignorance, what is the difference between between full reply mode & quick reply?

Forgive my ignorance, what is the difference between between full reply mode & quick reply? On the non mobile version the full reply and create thread are the same and are a page unto themselves, whereas the quick reply is at the bottom of each page. For some reason some people can't upload images on the create thread page, but can when doing a quick reply (I've now changed the upload so both those things use exactly the same bit of code... So I'm super baffled).

Lets see what "Add Pictures" does, with "Post Quick Reply" : Weel, that worked! That pic is 234.7 kB (234,683 bytes) But that was a new post This reply has a message in the "Post..." / "Save Changes" banner that says in small print "The thread in which you are posting has no effects applied to it." A Clue?
