I have several areas in my Project Midas that will need recovering with materials of one sort or another (am undecided what yet, but likely to be vinyl) and I'm looking for some recommendations for contact adhesive. I have used Evo Stik Impact Adhesive to great effect in the past but as there's quite a lot of area to cover I probably need a bit more than the 500ml tins I can get down at the local Wickes. I did have a tin, but lack of use and poor application of the lid has led it to drying out. So what do you use and where can I get it? Should I use spray or is it best to apply manually? Here's an example of the sort of area I'm looking to cover (note that the old stuff in this picture was removed years ago!!)  |

Thanks colnerov Has above - but to avoid confusion - its a 'High Temperature Resistant' contact adhesive that you require (an adhesive that does let go at high temperatures within a vehicle interior - when the sun comes out) and not a adhesive that has to be brought to a high temperature in order to use it Here is a link to my trade supplier - the spread adhesive is good for heavy duty bonding and the aerosol contact adhesive (blue can) is great for the lighter fabrics such has head linings www.martrim.co.uk/car-trimming-supplies/glues-and-adhesives.phpYou will also find this supplier very helpful in the source of all other trimming materials that you may require for your project - they are happy to serve the public has well as trade |

As mentioned Trimfix is the stuff I have used on both my old 110 and my 924.
That was for headlinings amongst other bits and it's still holding after many years.
