Hi,
I have several 1980 mitsubishi colt 1400's and the one I want to be tax exempt was Registered in the UK on February 1st 1980, and to be tax exempt it needed to be built before 1st January 1980 or registered before January 8th 1980 so it has missed out by just under a month.
But I own another mitsubishi colt of the exact same model that was registered on January 1st 1980 so can be tax exempt and the one that was registered in February has a earlier chassis number so it would actually have been made sometime in 1979.
Does anyone know if there is a way of getting proof of build dates for old Mitsubishi's or if there is any other proof the DVLA would accept such as pictures of the chassis numbers, has anyone done anything like this before. Thanks George
