So once the engine bits were mocked up and fitted on the spare engine, I transferred it over to the car. I then set about getting the condenser rad fitted. It’s quite small and I was concerned it may not be big enough, but unless I get one made, availability is limited as to what will fit in...

With a bit of research, I bought the kit to swage my own pipe fittings, from Latvia for £80, and it only took a week to arrive

Looking good! Would be interested to see what you have planned for the control panel and vents

So, the next part was to fit the evaporator unit. I was lucky in that this came up on Facebook pages, along with other bits for a t2 camper. It’s ideal in that it a long and slim unit, and fits under the dash nicely. I had to fabricate some brackets, and I made up hoses to suit once it was in place.

Nice work. My only concern would be having the drier in the cab. Most a/c systems only have the evaporator in the cab as that is low pressure when running (granted it can go up to 10bar when off depending on temperature). The Drier is in the high pressure side of the circuit so can be up to 30bar when running depending on the pressure switch. Is the evaporator designed for a txv system or orifice tube?
