This has always been one of my faves - the Saab 96 but especially the estate version - the 95! I've owned a 95 for a short while but couldn't get used to the gear shifter - being up on the column was a nightmare for me. Anyway, it didn't have the looks or the engine (being a V4). Does anyone still have a 2-stroke, or has owned one in the past? If so, what make/model?

I did have a Trabant, can’t find any pics to hand, but I think there are some on here. It was a beige one & was one of the cars used in the film re-make of A Man From Uncle. All I can offer you now is a few bikes I have a Fizzy & an RD350LC Which I did this to, going a ‘bit flat stick’ in the Isle of Man. All fixed now, but little bit fickle them there strokers

Here's my little two-stroke. I want to take it out more at the moment, but runs to the supermarket for supplies will have to do for now.

Search for Volvo Amazon Evinrude V8 Mmmmm yes. Love 2 strokes. Never owned a 2 stroke car though. I could happily own a 96 one day. For now this crazy old thing will have to do. 500cc of 1970s 2 stroke power. Sporting a fresh stupid paint job (cabin fever setting in?) and recently tweaked design to my home made expansion chambers.

Also forgot this I put a crank in this very truck, circa 84 I’d guess. It had a V8, 2 stroke, Detroit diesel, with a nice big blower on it. Sounded ace, as all smokers do.

My Dad had a 96 Sport back in the late 70s/early 80s - it was grey and was (apparently) the last Sport model registered in the UK. Sounded epic, and was surprisingly quick for such small engined car. I don't remember too much about it as I was only young, but I will try to get my Dad to find a photo so I can check if it's still on the road. Must be worth a fortune now...

In the early 80's I worked at a Bedford truck dealer and they offered the TM38X tractor unit with the Detroit V8 two stroke diesel. Unique sound and went like fook for 7 tons of tractor unit. They then went cummins a while later.

Foden built a beautiful 2 stroke diesel - very rarely seen today - but a hell of a truck & engine

This very rare Subaru 360 (the first Subaru's exported to Europe) is a regular in the taxi fleet at Goodwood Revival every year - one of a handful in the UK - 356cc 2 cylinder inline 2 stroke - manufactured by Subaru from 1958 to 1971

I love everything 2 stroke. I love the smell, the noise. This is exactly the same as my bike I had for a few years. Just an awesome machine. I also love 2 stroke diesels. The sound they make is so good.

Not this one by a long shot but my father dragged this home (in Canada!) when I was about 16 - I learned to drive stick on it and it was the family's second car for about 3 years. Wish I could find it now.

You can't beat a Stroker for character, unfortunately I can't add any 4 wheeled goodness and this is the best I can offer. My RGV250, which is currently in the condition that most 2-Strokes end up in at least one point in their life, the engine becomes one solid lump.
