that must have been loads of luck with the blow out, my brother once had a blow out on the german autobahn going max speed of his BX. He did a 1080 or more without damage other than 4 tyres.
Edit; there is more to this...
The BX was a temp car, as his LR series III '88 was broken down again but he had to go to Seedorf for work... Lost some time and descided to push it a bit.

that must have been loads of luck with the blow out It was lucky I was held up with work before hand and it was quiet at the time. From the shape of the tyre it looks like there was a bulge from where I’d hit a pothole (which knackered the front bearing) and it hit in the right spot on the cats eye to blow the tyre out. That’s pretty damn lucky with your brother as well!

Thanks to a member of the Seat Ibiza Mk2 group on Facebook I picked up some standard 16" 16v wheels from him. I would love to find an original set of 8v wheels but they're like hens teeth. While I was out in the garden I had a look over the Saxo. When I first viewed it the carpet was a little wet and I assumed it had been cleaned because the interior was spotless. Turns out it hadn't been cleaned. Will investigate further. I imagine it's either the sunroof drain pipe being blocked or the scuttle panel blocked and it's leaking down. The front tyre keeps loosing air as well so that's been added to the list.
