Here for sale is my 1996 Rover 825 Sterling (first registered 20 December 1996) to Rover Group as a dealer principles car. The car was sold from the Rover Dealership to a Mr William Wallace on the 24th of October 1997 when it was just 10 months old.
Mr Wallace owned and cared for the car right up until he sadly passed away in 2010. During Mr Wallace’s owner ship the car was kept in a heated garage when it was not being used and maintained regardless of cost. The car remained in the heated garage up until November 2019 when it was purchased by myself. I have recommissioned the car and have been using it on dry days since it passed the MOT and sadly it must now be sold as I have too many other cars and cannot keep it.
When I purchased the car it was still displaying Mr Wallace’s number plate (ROV 7), this has now been deregistered from the vehicle and placed onto a retention certificate which has been returned to Mr Wallace’s family. Anyone familiar with the west midlands MG / Rover owners club may be familiar with the vehicle as Mr Wallace was a senior member of this club.
The car now displays its original registration number P440 HOC and is ready for its new owner to enjoy, being a Sterling model, the car comes with full grey leather interior(electrically operated ), air conditioning ,electric sunroof , a 4 speed automatic gearbox , and lots of other extras .
The car is very clean and tidy and is a credit to its former keeper. The car does have a little surface rust on the offside front wheel arch and the odd minor blemish on the paint work. The car drives very well and the gearbox changes up and down gear smoothly. Occasionally the ABS warning light illuminates , but will then go out again my hope is that once the car has some proper use this issue will correct itself . I have changed the brake discs and pads all around aswell as replacing the oil and filters .I Do have other photos but can only upload 12 to eBay .
The Rover comes with 2 keys & fobs , the original Rover Leather Wallet and Handbooks and copies of the old v5s which show the 2 previous owners as stated above. The MOT is valid until December 2020. The car is ready to drive away and enjoy.
The car is HPI clear , a copy of the report when I purchased the car is available on the attached link :
