I don't know about anybody else but I always install my discs the graphics/stickers lowermost - the reinforcing rings (one on disc and the other on grinder drive head) then encapsulate the disc as I understand it. If you thing about a grinding wheel (as opposed to slitting disc) then when it is installed you always see the reinforcing ring because the discs are - typically - stepped in design.
Any thoughts?
Matt
I noticed for the first time on a Rolson disc the other day that it does show the direction of rotation on the disc. I think I'd generally put them on "graphics down" in any case but I can't say I've always done that.
I'm really nervous around stuff like this, and have a selection of things to use where the guards or body of the device stops me getting into a particular spot. I've just bought an arbour to use 75mm cut-off discs in my electric grinder, but I'm really wary of it because, unlike the usual 3" cut-off air tool, there's no guard around it.
There are plenty of places where you'll see people using grinders without guards of any kind, and the message is "know what you're doing, don't just do it because you saw it on the net".
