SOLD!
---------
I never thought the day would come, but after almost a decade of ownership with many good times (and money spent!), it's time for me to put my beloved Q4 up for sale.
If you're not familiar with the 155 Q4, and many aren't, it's a rare beast which carried the Integrale torch after the legendary Delta Evo 2 ceased production. The engine and AWD 2.0 16v turbo running gear are as good as identical, but it was sold in far fewer numbers for a shorter time. As with the Lancia's Integrale the Cloverleaf 4 was only available in LHD in both mainland Europe and the UK. Only nine cars were ever sold in the UK, with the majority staying in mainland Europe. This car was originally sold and used in salt-free Switzerland for most of it's life before I owned it.
(Prices in Europe are currently around 20-30,000 euros, with only examples needing work being cheaper).
Over the years my Q4 has been both properly used, maintained and in specific areas carefully improved.
I've used it on track around half a dozen times over the years, including two Nurburgring trips, so to say it's a well proven car would be accurate! I'd happily drive it anywhere.
Back in day one of my ownership it was given a full AWD transmission strip down, check over and service.
A new clutch, slave and master cylinder and various gaskets were fitted at this time also.
Two years ago the Q4 was entrusted to one of Scotland's top bodyshops KD Kustoms for a full respray. This also included removal of a small rust area at the rear quarter. An area which is famously bad on Q4s. Thankfully this car only had a minor issue in that area, and two years later it remains perfect!
The bodywork in general is excellent, and the paintwork still looks as good as when it came out the bodyshop!
Photos and articles of this process are available as the car was documented as a running project in Retro Cars Magazine previously.
As well as religious fluid changes, the Q4 has had countless parts replaced and upgraded over the years including:
Garrett stage 3 T3 turbo
Brembo 4 pot calipers and larger discs
Custom made GAZ gold coilovers with adjustable damping
New suspension top mounts and lower arms
Recent timing belt and water pump
Gizmo electronic boost controller with multiple in-car settings
Kenlowe fan thermostat and override switch
AEM Air fuel ratio gauge and wideband lambda sensor
Excellent condition Recaro leather interior
Custom manufactured deep pile protective floor mats
Team Heko wind deflectors
Sparco Strut brace
Recently refurbished Compomotive MO 17x7 alloy wheels with recent tyres
Silverstone Splitter and spoiler
Cloverleaf Sideskirts
Full stainless steel custom made exhaust
EVO Cars remap of the factory P8 Weber Marelli ECU, estimated to be approximately 250bhp
If I was keeping the car I would probably be planning on power upgrades to around 350-400bhp, which is easily achievable with bolt of modifications and a remap.
Also a full concours treatment of the engine bay and underside would be tempting too!
But in reality I feel like after a decade it may be time to let someone else enjoy this fantastic car and for me to concentrate on my many other project cars!
The car is in Motherwell, just south of Glasgow.
If my costs were covered, delivery worldwide would also be considered....
£19,995
MOT - February 2021
Mileage - 98,245 (and may increase slightly)
