Hello,
Up for Sale is my Mercedes-Benz CLK 320 V6.
The car has FSH and is MOT’d until 25/06. There have been just two previous owners: the first having owned the car from new until 2017. The second owner had the car for around a year, until I bought it in August 2019.
I’ve owned this car for around 6 months, and it has been very reliable during this time - I’ve had no issues whatsoever. I’m only selling because I fancy a change (would like to go back to a manual car again)
Some general information about the car specification:
2001 face-lift model (underwent revised manufacturing process, less prone to corrosion)
M112 3.2 V6 Engine (Classic and Reliable engine producing 220PS and 320NM)
ULEZ Compliant
Black Leather Interior
Electric Front Seats
Dark Wood Pack
Air Conditioning (Ice-Cold)
Central-Locking
Pneumatic Boot Release
Electric Windows
Traction Control
Collapsible Rear Head Rests
The previous owner of this car was an enthusiast, and performed an extensive maintenance overhaul. There is a huge Folder of receipts, filed in chronological order.
A summary of the work undertaken is below:
FSH with regular Servicing from main dealer and specialists
Oil Change and Filter just a few weeks ago
Blueprint ADL Fuel Filter Kit
Bosch Spark Plugs x12
Bosch Cabin and Air Filters
MBZ Breather System Rebuild - including all pipework and connectors
Cam-cover breather box re-seal (common M112 issue)
Mannol AG13+ premium long life Coolant change
Borg and Beck Coated Front and Rear Brake Discs
Mintex Rear Brake Pads
Full Brake Fluid Change
Fuchs Sintopoid 75W85 DIff Oil
Mann Transmission Oil FIlter Kit
Fuchs 4134 MBZ approved transmission fluid (236.14 spec)
MBZ transmission loom plug / seal kit
Genuine AMG 17” staggered wheels (could do with a refurb)
225/45/17 Kumho UHP PS71 front tyres
245/40/17 Kumho UHP PS71 rear tyres
Sparco hub centric 16mm rear wheel spacer kit with extended wheel bolts
Mtec hub-centric 10mm front wheel spacer kit with extended wheel bolts
Delphi front upper wishbones
Front lower ball joints
MBZ front anti-roll bar bush kit
Febi-Bilstein steering damper
Mapco centre steering drag link
Mapco track rod ends
Sachs / Boge Sport specification shock absorbers with new mounts / securing bolts
Supersport uprated and progressively wound lowering springs
4 wheel laser wheel alignment
As is evident from this list, the car has been meticulously maintained and is great to drive.
Cosmetically the car is generally clean, although there are a few areas which a new owner might address to make the car perfect, namely:
The first owner scraped the right rear wheel arch, and the previous owner has sanded this back and applied rust protection to stop the corrosion from spreading. However, it is beginning to corrode at surface level, and a new owner would probably want to repaint this panel at some point.
The front bumper has a small crack on the lower diffuser section - could replace the front bumper or respray the existing bumper.
However, most importantly considering this age of CLK’s notoriety for rusting - it is extremely solid underneath! There is no corrosion evident whatsoever - Jacking points, sills, Floor Pan are all rust free.
Looking for £1600.
I am open to sensible offers, but in no rush to sell.
The car is located in Maidenhead. Please bring proof of insurance if you want to test-drive the car when you view it.
