So a few weeks ago and before the lockdown I had been asked if I could find new homes for a couple of cars / advise the now owners - sadly in both cases the cars had belonged to former members of the Jowett Car Club and had now been left with their widows - both cars had been stored for a very long period - so the first one Meets the criteria has its actually in a barn But exactly what is it Certainly Jowett flavour Stood for the last 12 years this is a 1927 Jowett Long 4 Tourer Twin boxer engine all of 950cc It is however quite solid And complete - the yellow is not an original colour scheme Comes with a bundle of spares Now working with the owner to rehome it - we need to jump through a few hurdles first though On the same day in an entirely different location I went to view & advise on this Hidden under all of this is a 1952 Jowett Javelin Delux It took some getting to Untouched since 1964 Its covered in filth - however its a one family owner 60,000 mile all original car in a totally unmolested condition (bar the cobwebs) It has full service history from new and is probably the most original / un welded / unpainted Javelin that I have ever come across - again I am working with owner on the best course of action to source a new home for the car But outside on the drive - stood for 4 years and blocking any exit of the Javelin is this Not my bag whatsoever and not for everyone - 2 litre slushbox Omega 64k miles from new New Michelins were a week old when parked up due to illness And a remarkably clean interior Needs a new battery / some fresh fuel to make it go - it needs a clean up - pretty straight but lots of lacquer peel - none the less must be worth saving by someone ?

Ooooh I like the look of that long 4... don't ask me why, but it just appeals. Probably memories of being ferried about in a similar style car when I was rather small, albeit it was of American flavour - an 1915 Oakland to be exact. In fact a quick google soon finds the exact car that my uncle sold a few years ago, for a bit more money too - this one

What part of the country is the Omega in? seems such a waste but not a very desirable spec.
I really don't like Omegas but did I ask what part of the country it was?!
Goes off to smash piggy bank and count the change.....

A few years ago there was an old chap lived in a very run down bungalow round the corner from me, eventually he passed away, and after a while a gardener was called to sort the overgrown garden - i'd always wondered what was in the garage so went for a look. Nothing in the garage, but this was in a bush! You couldn't even see there was a car there to start with! It pulled apart by hand. Streuth, that really is pretty far gone! I'm guessing it's a BMC ADO 16, quite an early one judging by the rear lights. Looks like the engine has been removed?

I have already put his name on it - has soon as the lockdown is over it will be on the trailer and winging its way to him (serves him right for showing even the slightest of interest in it)

Tbf I was seriously thinking about it, but it really is too far away from North wales, transport cost alone is probably more than it's worth atm, however looks like a good clean would solve 95 per cent of its issues
