	Looking to potentially import some parts here from the US and would like to know how it works . I have bought new stuff before and had sometimes quite hefty import charges but how does it work with 2nd hand parts ? Do they just put a blanket amount on or guess ? Does the sender have to declare a cost and then they take a percentage based on that information ? Is it better to use one of the importers i have seen mentioned before in the US who then brings it all over ?

	Charged on value of goods same as new stuff.

A warning though - don't get the seller to put a lower value on the parts for customs purposes. I heard of someone having a £3000 set of cylinder heads go missing, and got paid out for a £300 pair...
