I'm just glad it's all fixed and you can stop flapping now about the whole thing 🤣🤣... If your tyres fit and it wasn't so low maybe your tyres would last longer 🙄🙄🤣🤣🤣 Yah I think thats a contributing factor. Its very low with 245s on a 10j wheel don't think either help things really

Well because I’m not a billy bottle job today commenced the start of the manual swap. It was just one of those days. Started at 6:30, got my super Mario took box out and cracked on with my mate. Only had till 3 so just got as much done as we could. Lambda plugs are buried under 15mm thick carpet. Every cat bolt snapped or was useless by the end of taking them off. Took 2 hours to drill them all out they we’re that hard and stinkin. All the plugs are old and brittle on the old auto box cause they’re 30 years old with 75 fastners holding everything on. Auto box dipstick just in the way. BUT! We made progress, these are the only pics I got. Handbrake is drilled and the bracket welded in for it Where I thought best (curse word knows if the centre console still fits 😂). Next time the flywheel, clutch and box will go on but we just ran out of time/steam today 🤙🏻 Roll on Friday night!

I can confirm its been a horrible job this far not sure whose stupid idea it was I got a few pics on the potato cam.. I think our patent pending gearbox lift is the best one of them but due to the potatoeness of said camera, pic didn't actually work (trolley jack on floor of pit, with a 3 foot length of 3x3 to support the gearbox) Can't wait to try and get it back together Friday night.. honestly can't wait haha

Not a bottler day 2 arrived and we have more progress 🤙🏻 Gearbox mount welded and schmood in place before the box goes in. Quick EGR delete 1. It was in the way 2. It was actually broken 🤷🏻♂️ XAT 5kg flywheel, Lexi break adaptor kit, exedy 3sgte clutch on. Gearbox on the engine. Need to get it towed home as it is with no crossmember attached (will ratchet strap up up out of the way. The tunnel need more carefully cutting out of it for the shifter to come up more and then some 20mm spacers on it to fit and with how OCD I am I’d rather do it at home. Fundamentally it’s 2 clutch pipes, two wires for the reverse light, a neural switch bridge and a front half of a prop away from being a 6 speed manual. Hopefully be completed in the new few weeks around work 🤟🏻 Cheers

I've liked this to be polite... However I don't currently like it 😂😂 ... Being in the freezing cold unit til ten on new year's Day wasn't what I planned on doing haha.
But I'm impressed how well it's come together even if it's been a bit of a ball ache. And the top bellhousing bolts are basically inaccessible... And the box is heavy to support on your shoulder... And the pit isn't deep enough.. and we didn't have a clutch tool.... And did I mention i don't like manifold bolts anymore... and your OCD/fannying about is basically the polar opposite of how I normally work 😂😂😂
Hard works done now tho! Once we've got it back to yours should be a walk in the park. Or a roll in the snow depending on the weather 😂

I don't remember my fannying being an issue when your paint was gleaming after two days on it haha more like a roll in the snow but i'm looking forward to it being the home stretch!

Collected my 9 billion boxes of over preparedness today and managed to get the barge back home with no hiccups 🙌🏻 Matt towed it and my mate with the jzx100 watched from the back. Made it home safe and sound 🤙🏻 Trans tunnel needs trimming more, gearbox oil needs putting in, neautral switch and reverse lights need wiring, two clutch lines to run and then a prop making. Wish me luck but I definitely feel like I’m on the home stretch now!

Tired my best to cut a nice hole out to give me enough room for the shifter tower bracket and shifter itself to come through. Some careful dremel work and I’m left with this. I need to mask a small boarder and seam seal all the outer edge all the way around anyway because it’s two skins so it’ll have a neat seam of sealer anyway 🤙🏻 ill probably look at getting a stock is200 rubber boot/under gaiter to block off the outside world or something from rubber sheet I can put 4 rivnuts into the body and seal down. A bit like my mates Microsoft paint attempt 😂 with there its sat here it’s nigh on bang level with a few double checks of the phone spirit level. cheers

Only a small update again today I’ve been working out what I actually need to finish things and having to order them now instead of nip out and get them. Masked, etch primed and sealed the two layers of the trans tunnel up so curse word/rust can’t start in the gap. as that was drying I relocated the curse word and tilt control box for the auto adjustable steering column under the dash as there’s not a clutch pedal where it used to live and it was getting cluttered. Fits pretty much bang on to be fair and wiring routes super nice 🤙🏻 Ran out of light tonight so I’m going to run both clutch lines tomorrow and get the clutch fully plumbed in for good while I wait for my hardware for the gearbox cross member you turn up 🤙🏻 Ones that’s in a checked for level ness again I can take my prop parts to the prop shaft place. cheers

Another update 🤙🏻🤙🏻 Decided to pull my finger out of my and plumb the clutch in seen as the pedal took me so long to make (and actually looks half decent). Slave in and plumbed 🤙🏻 Hole drilled for the engine bay mounted clutch res too. Filled the hole with some black paint and left it to dry in my -2 oven (outside). Fingers had died a death by this point too. One rubber line to run and the unions to nip up and I’ll have a working clutch 🤙🏻 Prop left to measure and she’s done ✅ Cheers!

Dear diary 📔, Still slowly chipping away. Got the reservoir pipe routed through and clipped up (I am a major ocd faffer, if I can have a clip/tidy it will) 😅. Checked the fitment of the handbrake bracket we welded into the car. Turns out I’m pretty good at guessing 🙃 Went to see my mate Nath at ND auto repairs and he welded it up properly for me in the 5mins he had spare before finishing. He also popped the pin out of the plug for the handbrake cause the heathen who sold it be had pulled the wire out of it 🤦🏻♂️ Soldered/crimped some new wire on and I can solder it to the ls400 plug end in the car for the warning light to work 🤙🏻 Cheers guys 🤙🏻
