I’m about to start restoring a triumph gt6 mk2 this year but I’ve been pondering converting it in to a period circuit race car. Does anyone race in a series in a similar car and can point me in the right direction with regards to a good series to go and watch and pick up some knowledge. Thanks 👍🏻

Try looking at the CSCC, (swinging sixties as above) but they do other championships you'd be eligible for or the CTRC, There's my old club the Sports Racing and GT challenge srgtc.org.uk/ which is now amalgamated with Bernies V8s, very friendly bunch of people and probably one of the cheapest series to join.

CSCC looks ideal from reading a few different things. Specially the classic k series which I’m pretty sure my gt6 will qualify for as it is listed in the fia holomagated lists. Just need to get to some meetings now. Cheers guys.

Hi mate, I've found this booklet on racing a GT6 or Spitfire very helpful for my GT6: www.wolfitt.com He did race/still races his Mk2 GT6 (might be a MK2 body tub on a Mk4 Spit chassis with GT6 suspension possibly - can't remember) and this booklet tells you lots about his and other mods used for racing in these small chassis'd Triumphs. Think it was CSCC and Series K, Swinging Sixties. Cheers.

A good spot. I’ve got myself a copy. A very good read and some very useful info. Scary actually pricing up a lot of the stuff tho and then the actual entry fees. The reason behind the idea of the b204 transplant and fast road/ track day toy.
