Well, publishing the issue number two has been somewhat delayed because of you-know-what, but no worries, it'll be out. Adding finishing touches right now and have a few more words to write too and then it's off to the printshop. Anyway, the situation in Japan has also somewhat relieved and Hiroaki Kageyama @thekageblog, the magazine's photographer there, had a chance to make photoshoot today for the issue number three, shooting @o.d.graffity 1951 Chebby.

This looks so good, I just ordered the first issue. I love print and am always happy to support independent quality magazines. The kustom scene is not something I'm overly familiar with, but have always thought they looked cool.

Right, Diskustom Magazine number 2 is now sent to the printhouse and getting printed, which means it'll be available soon. If you'd like to be among the first to get the package shipped out right after the magazine is out from the printhouse, then the pre-sale is opened at the website: www.diskustommagazine.comBoth of these cool bastardos on the picture are featured in the mag. It showed up today!!
I loved it so much that I instantly pre-ordered the second volume.
I don't know much about the Kustom scene, but I absolutely love love love the layout and style of the magazine. Strong photography, not overblown with text which in most magazines suffers from a case of of being the same "Person bought car, modified it, it's cool" phrases which gets tiring after a while. And the very, very few ads there are are tastefully integrated without taking away from the magazine experience. It's basically what I've always dreamed of doing myself, just with a focus on 80s/90s cars. Honestly, this is absolutely amazing.
If you've not ordered a copy yet, you're missing out.

How about a radically modified 1992 Nissan D21 hardbody minitruck named "Almost"? Saw this car in Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show back in 2015 and fell in love on sight. Today the magazine's Japan photographer Kage-san could finally take photos of it and it's gonna be featured in issue number three.

Well, here it is: Diskustom Magazine #2 is now out and available. From this issue you'll find a radically customized Dodge Dart from Japan, cool little Moskvitch from Estonia, two Toyota CROWNs with different years and different amount of custom tricks (also from Japan); like-a-Hummer-but-not-really Ratrod001 from USA and some other cool cars. Also reports from events such as Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show & Shibuya cruising in Japan and Yankee Car Show/X-treme Car Show in Finland. There's also a new thing called the Short Corner, featuring cars that were once out there and made their mark, but are now lost, gone, destroyed, or otherwise unobtainable for a photoshoot, so it’s a place for publishing some cool memories. Mag is still printed on glossy high quality paper and stitched binding will keep it together for years to come. 88 pages. Texts written in English. Printed in Estonia (EU). International shipping. Yearly subscription is 15% cheaper than buying piece by piece. 3 issues per subscription. Buy or subscribe from here: www.diskustommagazine.comIf you'd like to follow the mag on social media, then here's the channels: Facebook: www.facebook.com/diskustommagazine/Instagram: www.instagram.com/diskustommagazine/#diskustommagazine

On Sunday we had a photosession of this customized Dodge Ram for the future issue. I just recently finished painting the graphics on it. You might also recognize the Tenet film location on these photos, as some scenes were filmed here in Tallinn. You can still grab a copy of Diskustom Magazine number two, before the next iussue will be published: www.diskustommagazine.com

In Diskustom Magazine number 3 there's gonna be a story of the Custom Hill Reunion 2020 in Japan. Here's a nice and colourful teaser for ya. Pic snapped by our man in Japan - Hiroaki Kageyama. And also a short notice about something new I started, I hope it's OK to post it here. I've been working on a new custom-themed clothing brand since the spring and now the webstore is open and first batch of stuff available. If kustoms, hot rods, lowriders and kustom kulture in general gets you going, then you might want to check it out. I'm also working on new designs and adding new products every now and then. This does look to be a quality publication but . . . .
. . . you do the same as all magazines - take some great pictures on an expensive photoshoot and then print the pics over a double page spread so that much of the subject matter is lost in the fold of the magazine. It would be far better to print the pic sideways on a single page - yes it would be a little smaller but at least you could see it all and get a real idea of the car's proportions and looks . . .

Thank you for the feedback. Yes, magazine has the double page spreads TOO, but these are the minority compared to the amount of photos that are not affected by the fold. The example pages posted here are just the opening photos for features and the purpose of these here in the forum is to show a few stories from the mag.

Well, life happened and it suddenly took a massive amount of time to finish the work on issue number three. But today I can finally say that I'm very happy to announce it's gonna be out very soon now. It's already in the print shop and I'm currently working on the new homepage/webshop too, so not long now until it's available. Here's some cars featured in the number three: Citroen DS custom from Sweden. Photo by Joakim Bolund. Custom Squareback from US. Photo by Eric Arnold Barkas Framo from Belgium. Photo by Jo Pan Pan (Memory's of Lylajo) Rambler American from Finland (originally a 70s build from Sweden) Photo by Kai Salmio / Back Off Media Ford Fiesta on hydraulics, from UK Photo by Ollie.Raw Opel Kadett B pickup from Finland Photo by Miikka Antrell / Throwing Dices Photography And more.... Few event reports too. I will post here too once the mag is out, but if you're interested in being up-to-date with more stuff around the mag, then you can also follow in Instagram and Facebook: Instagram: www.instagram.com/diskustommagazine/Facebook: www.facebook.com/diskustommagazine/
