The clear lenses, yes! The rest of that look of the white one is a no Agreed and well spotted. The clear indicators are nice ... I think they are almost fresh and crisp in appearance The yellow units are 20 years old looking. Are you planning to drive it to Washington?? Yeeeehawww Paw, let’s go. I prefer amber indicators; but whatever floats your boat. That white one is way too “yee-haw!” for me. Again though, it’s obviously something the owner is very proud of, so fair play to them. 😃👍 You are right, different strokes and all that. Clear has been on my radar since day one or before that. The white truck is an Extreme model, that one has loads of extra stuff stuck, glued or attached somehow. Would not have bought it, but the simple colour and clean lik]nes of mine, prefer that. If I could remove the Fleetside badges, I would as well.

Carport looking good Grizz! As soon as restrictions lift, I’ be there to install the lighting you have planned. Like the truck, if you go for the clear front turn signal lenses, fit either LED amber lamps or the silvered amber ones not the orange ones that usually come in such a kit- makes it look like an egg yolk! Go the whole hog & replace the side repeaters too - most don’t/ forget & it looks wrong IMHO Hey Henry ! Thanks regarding the lights and Covid paralysis. And yes, clear side repeaters may be a problem, it’s a European thing and the conversion kits are made for the American market. So the solution will be to find a set of clear side repeaters from something European that will fit the hole. Challenge? Yes, possibly. So to answer the comments elsewhere about the White Step-side....... I have bought the clear indicator lenses off the owner who is going with smoked front lights and lenses. £25.00 included postage which sounded like a sweet deal to me vs finding and importing a set from the USA, getting posted tomorrow so hopefully fitted by next weekend. The one has a small scratch that I will tackle with a bit of rubbing compound to clear off. Pretty chuffed today.

Spot on. I Think..... 30mm base Hole drilled is about 20mm to maybe 22mm to let fitting through. I th9nk it is very muchm80’s Ford. Need to find a pair of replacements. Ideally oval items.

Surely you need some bowtie side repeaters to replace the possible Ford items

If you don’t mind adjusting the hole slightly , you’ll find a pair of universal oval side repeaters easily enough .

Something like a BMW MINI's repeaters are oval and probably not expensive.

Mk3 fiesta had original square side reps then changed to oval for the mk3.5 facelift about 1992/3 might fit the bill and cheap as chips i'd have thought

Side repeaters are a UK / Europe thing - most American stuff doesn't have them, so if you want it to always pass even the most anal MOT, it needs them, or if its a recent import, it needs them to get through IVA - I fitted Muth signal mirror glasses to my Challenger to avoid drilling holes in my nice new bodywork. Others have managed by repurposing the blind spot warning LED in the mirror, or even the front marker lamp.
So the lamp in there is very unlikely to be original - fit anything you like that looks good to you.
Must admit I like lights to look like the lights they are supposed to be.

Those side repeaters are obviously whatever was cheap/to hand when it failed its first UK MoT partly because of not having any back in 06. I’m sure you can find something better.

Don't those lenses have the front clearance light in?
I forget the regs for a side repeater there but does it have to be behind the front wheel? I thought it just had to face sideways and blink in phase with the indicator (so no dual clearance/turn like is fairly common here), which should be fulfilled by the front side amber retro-reflector and light.
The rear lights had a cutout to face sideways where the light from the stop/tail lamp would shine sideways and the lamp assembly had a wraparound reflector that's visible from the back and sides.
How about looking at 1" truck/trailer clearance lights to replace the square? Those are popular in LED flavor here.

Phil Has to be an amber lamp flashing in time with the indicators that can be viewed at 180 degrees to the lamp at the front and rear. I forget the correct wording. It doesn’t have to be anywhere in relation specifically on the vehicle, just that you have to be able to see if from front and rear nearly head or tail on. The VW T4 and T3 are built into the front indicator lens. Same as a lot of JDM smaller cars, Mazda Demio and Nissan Pulsar to name but a few. But to be fair as long as it’s on the side and flashes orange that’s good enough.

Surely you need some bowtie side repeaters to replace the possible Ford items If on;y I had some, they would be on. If you don’t mind adjusting the hole slightly , you’ll find a pair of universal oval side repeaters easily enough . Indeed. Interesting how they differ though. Something like a BMW MINI's repeaters are oval and probably not expensive. Not expensive.... sounds good. Prices vary wildly. Even for items with the same stock photos. Mk3 fiesta had original square side reps then changed to oval for the mk3.5 facelift about 1992/3 might fit the bill and cheap as chips i'd have thought I would have happily used, square, but oval is good too. Nice shape to echo the trucks soft lines. Saw them, wrong rears though. I know one of the U.K. guys with an S10 has incorporated them into his indicators, somehow. Guess it depends on how much enforcing the the test centre feels is necessary Those side repeaters are obviously whatever was cheap/to hand when it failed its first UK MoT partly because of not having any back in 06. I’m sure you can find something better. Agreed, it now makes sense that failure entry. Take a look at repeaters on car builder solutions site they have loads of options. Job done. Yes, they are probably the ideal guys as there are so many varied tastes in building. Mk3 fiesta had original square side reps then changed to oval for the mk3.5 facelift about 1992/3 might fit the bill and cheap as chips i'd have thought Correct, worth a punt. I would have gone for either to be honest, it’s firstly about clear lenses, and then about fitting the hole. Don't those lenses have the front clearance light in? How about looking at 1" truck/trailer clearance lights to replace the square? Those are popular in LED flavor here. Phil So many options when you start to look. There was a set I really liked, but they had no bulbs or fittings, so one needs to just find the right ones. Don't those lenses have the front clearance light in? And I will look for those chromed amber bulbs so they appear not to be in the front lenses, rather than yellow blobs.

Went out early to just check the fittings as there are so many different types and tabs. Opened one to see what the bulb looked like. Then ordered a set of “London Taxi” side repeater lenses. I will have to edit or trim the fitting tabs though to ensure a flush fit (They are Ford Transit items) Back to work today..... Hmmmmmm....

Looks like the old ones were stuck in with bathroom silicone, not the best of ideas as it is acidic and promotes corrosion. rather than file even bigger chunks out of the wings and risk breaking the paint when they are fitted / removed I would cut the tabs off and use automotive double sided tape instead of the gasket.

If the front and rear indicators take a standard amber BAU15s (amber, offset pins) drop me a PM grizz and I’ll post you a handful. I stock them at work for my own cars and friends cars
