Few random pics. Remember the Fiesta I polished formSally’s son? He turned 21 on Sunday,. Added some side skirts to the car, for his birthday. Now how do you drive this? Could not go over a cigarette packet. On Sunday, I also had to get to a shop and then the post office to get some emergency English PG Tips tea to a friend in Holland as the Retro Rides Gathering had been cancelled of course, so he could not stock up on his favourite brand. When I came out, this CBR 600 was parked on the side of the building. Absolutely immaculate for a 13 year old bike. Some vehicles just seem to have the right genes for not aging. After this I drove down to Rochester and stopped for a few random pics of the truck. Rochester Castle. Note that it has 3 square towers, and one round one. Thanks to Oliver Cromwell Rochester Cathedral Castle. Rochester marina. And Rochester bridge, much better pictures available online. Then home. Mate Darren and Tammy came over later, around 3.00pm and as always it was great seeing them. Darren collected the Cragar wheels and tyres for his Dodge van build. All in. All too soon, the weekend was over.

I found them. And looking at some random stuff at £70 I wonder if a random go is worth trying for. Not sure if they have an auto bid program that bids those to where they want the price to be. Every letter has a few very simple, random letters starting cheap I would have any of these.

Quite interesting I tried a few searches for RWD. YUP. BOK. LUV. KAK. and all of them are unavailable. The suspect the system will price up anything you ask for. No idea how these companies maximise their profits.

Interesting how prices change when you add government charges. The search continues. I need to figure the DVLA Auctions as an option too. All the hidden charges etc when you bid on a plate.

Interesting how prices change when you add government charges. The search continues. All those plates are available on the DVLA website (at least the 4 or 5 I checked are) for £250. That site is basically drop-shipping and adding a mark up. Lots of them do it. I've seen a fair few on ebay that try the same thing.

You know the rule is, “if someone is stupid enough to pay for it, sell it to them” There is no rule against profit. I think there are loads of cheapies that will satisfy me, the plates like UIG xxxx will be just fine. Of course GRZ xxxc or CHV xxxx would be better, but it’s another £150 or whatever.

One just needs to be sensible and find the cheapest supplier.

We have personal plates on all our cars. The Jeep has long sold but the number plate lives now on my Patrol. All plates were about $600 but they will stay with us for ever. In some states you have to pay a yearly fee. Not in Queensland

Popped back to the wheels guys this week. I had decided that it may look better with the centre caps, matched to the anthracite of the powder coating. I am hoping that the code can be translated to a paint code. Random pic of the van (Whole side panel has been replaced with fresh metal now.) that the Cragars are headed onto, if Darren can find a full set of wheel adapters. Ever heard of a blind spot?? Ever reversed into something that was not there...... I did. Thankfully hit the rubber of the rear step only. So pleased, would hate to replace the tailgate. And then today, the previous owner sent me a wad of old paperwork and MOT certificates to continue adding to the trucks history file. And right now, rather than the end of the weekend, we are almost at the start of a 4 day long weekend. Enjoy it.

I backed up into a pole once with my Transit. In my defense I had no rearward visibility other than my mirrors; the same as you can with that (there's metal under the rubber) I beat the bumper and bracket with hammers until it was straight again.
Same couldn't be said for the pole, which spent the next 3 years at a jaunty angle before the sidewalk was torn up to put a new building in.
