With the list of tasks actually getting shorter and some of the things left to do, only dependant of shipping, couriers and also finding a drone and pilot..... I took some time to go drive and waste fossil fuels to day, Sally was off to see her eldest son and grandson so I could be ultra random. Eventually only liked two pics. More another day. Tomorrow, who knows, maybe some smoke.

Pubs not on my radar. I thought it was the law! Nope, I am the weirdo..... Hate pubs mostly. Went out and messed with the truck today. Took a few more scenic pics too. If you guys are interested, I will post them up on here. Dennis started the 850bhp NASCAR motor for the first time last night. Fired right up. Sooon. More soon.

As a NASCAR fan who has been to a lot of races over the years that sounds bloody awesome
One year for my birthday Mrs BC bought me pit lane access tickets - the sound from beside the pit wall of 30 plus race cars bursting into life was one of the best moments of my life

Another special moment for me. Then spending a weekend trackside and in the pits with Dennis at the races was a lifetime highlight

And now I guess a post many, including me have waited for. It felt really bad being to mechanically unsympathetic. First time I ever tried this sort of thing. First two attempts done in a straight first gear, the rest, as per Paul Y instructions.... put it into D for Devil and try again. The concrete of the driveway is incredibly coarse and then of course one is on the lawn in moments. VIDEO: Maybe if I can find a slightly better surface than all these private spaces it could be more impressive. Or maybe I should stop while I am ahead.

I'd stop while you're ahead, you've done it now so best not tempt the Gremlins

Think of it as practise for when you can do a shed skid grizz

And of course, the wheels are sold and going onto a Dodge dayvan Naturally, they've got no tread left now. They're no good for the pickup...

They're no good for the pickup... Loads of tread, they were actually brand new when fitted years ago, hardly used, but some cracking, and of course being replaced by the new wheels. Me? Snaakse ou? Childsh maybe. But burnouts are fun!! I actually prefer to watch, rather than do them. But I was honor-bound and Paul Y would never forgive me for not trying.

So if you are in the process of thoroughly sending off the old tyres, surely the new wheels must be heading into the truck soon?

Loads of tread, they were actually brand new when fitted years ago, hardly used, but some cracking, and of course being replaced by the new wheels. You didn't do the burnout right, go back and do it again. And again. And again some more until you can see the cords. Then it's done. Haha Phil

Congratulations on popping your burnout cherry. They did improve as you got more practice! Good effort.
