Buy yourself a little craft heat gun (or use a hot air paint stripper) for heat shrink. I don't know of any professional electrician (including myself) who uses a naked flame, much too easy to damage wiring or adjacent components

Really held back on buying one, and also need a more aggressive soldering iron, possibly gas fired.
Just loathe to spend the money on a tool I rarely use, of course till I need it.
And I only have to look at all the tools I have never used before.......
Any suggestions on a soldering iron, or flame thrower that is both wind proof and works in 4’C
That was my battle recently, and of course as Paul Y will attest to, most of my work gets done outside when temperatures drop below 6’C
