Dash turned out alright, fits in the car well and the bike display fits in it well, needs some finishing - Made a lower dash off a wood and aluminium template, with a side access panel in case I need to remove the battery or mess with anything, cut out key, ignition switch, start button, brake bias and choke all connected and working - Bike fuse box on side of lower dash for ease of access. All wiring connected brake pedal (switch), indicators to stalk along with flash, high beam and horn. I have ordered a new stalk to swap over but the wiring to it is sorted - Brakes all connected via servo, washer bottle in place -

You get the idea, need to fit wiper motor, heaters and washer and more switches before fastening down and painting - All the wiring hanging out needs connecting for all the stuff at the rear - lights, fuel pump, sender etc.

The speed of progress on this is probably relative to the speed of the finished product!

Rear roll cage hoops sprayed in weld through primmer and fitted - Front end back on, had to remake the mounts for a better stronger fit - Installed the front cable loom for indicators, lights & horn - Had to remove the washer bottle as it fouls the flip bonnet, will relocate later to the passenger side - I do like the front flip clam above, also re-fitted vin plate, lower and upper dash in satin black, top on is not permanent as still need to fit wipers - The wires hanging out of the dash are for the electric heaters - Rear of dash access panel (ignore heater wiring hanging down) - Rear end still to wire up via the multi-core

Finally got the front roll bar in, had to fit the washers and wipers first, the wiper motor gets in the way so I had to angle the top of the roll bar away - Did quite a bit of wiring including connecting the multi core cable up that runs to the back for sender, fuel pump, lights, brake lights, indicators. Also installed the new fuse box and earth point so I can feed any new supplies. Relocated the washer bottle and installed the reservoirs for the brakes and clutch. - Switches installed on dash - Starting to look more like a car now, just need to get the steering wheel in next - And yes I am missing a toggle switch guard on the end, I just miscounted when I ordered them

Dash looks smart. Simple and purposeful, which is probably going to be handy as I assume this will be quite a handful!

Great progress, having learnt to drive in a Kitten-based off-road buggy I have appreciation for what you're doing to it! The buggy had a Reliant 850cc engine in it which was plenty for an 8 year old, this one would probably suit me quite nicely - I have a car with ~230bhp/ton and that's quick enough to see off a lot of things, so this will be madness in the best way possible.

How time flies, it has been over a year and many other track cars and projects, the Kitten is now nearing completion, mechanically complete and the interior (two buckets) finished, just the paint to do, car is in primer, just fine filling and re-prime on the front clam before top coat - As stock looking as possible with steel wheels for a bike engined Kitten

Well it's all painted, just need to flat each panel and buff up, have done the rear, have also added lexan and the black stripe since I took this. The rear lights are not original Kitten I swapped over to land rover as I will with the front indicators, I am not going to the hassle of a respray to fit parts that I can only get hold of used and if I damage in a couple of years might not be able to get. Land Rover spares are easily available, not oem but neither is a motorbike engine.

Headlights are not in but after polishing the front clam couldn't resist a quick test fit of the grill with period AA and Institute of Advanced Motoring badges

Looking good. I really like the steel wheels and the fact that you've kept them inside the stock arches. Will be a proper Q-car.

Getting closer, windscreen now fitted, rear & drivers door plexi glass fitted, all polished up other than passenger rear qtr and passenger door. Need to stripe the side and add the wing mirror for the drivers side to be finished. Very relieved the screen went back in in one piece.

A really nice piece of work, well done. Just one question please. Do you have tyre clearance on full lock? I'm running 13 inch wheels and it looks like I'll need to put in lock stops. Obviously it depends on the amount of offset.
