Well managed to get half hour on the car today. So armed with some steel and my new number plate knocked a bracket up to mount it. Took a step back and now can't decide if I prefer it or I'm just going to go down the illegal stick on plate off to the side.. il leave it a few days see if it grows on me.. Also chucked a fresh back plate on since the old one was cloudy. Nothing worse than tatty plates making a car look tired.. I'm off work tomorrow for daddy day care duties. No childcare and a day of builders means I've got to try and keep them entertained whilst staying in the living room, fingers crossed weathers decent and I can take em outside.. this does mean I wont get any car time tho.. I've also spoken with my mapper just for a catch up and make sure he's happy with everything I've done.. he's still confident of it making big numbers with some more boost and quoted me a reasonable amount to tweak the map (he also needs to look at how much it injects when cranking as I managed to flood it other day, and taking all 8 plugs out to dry it off wasn't fun).. but that's minor in grand scheme of things and I know what went wrong.. it's payday Friday so wel see if there's owt left in pot after paying for house works.. Anyways more soon. Cheers

I think that looks a lot better than a stick on would because a) it's offset and more interesting, b) it has a bespoke bracket and c) it's a non-standard shape. Works fine for me!

You could trim the front number plate back to within 11mm of the characters , this will shrink it significantly

Yeah it's had mixed reception from my mates I've shown.. some prefer the offset look. Some reckon this.. I'm still 100% undecided. Doesn't really matter in grand scheme of things. Cheers

Problem with that is it will end up square and I'm not sure if that will look odd again haha Why do little finicky bits like this bug me more than major mechanical work haha

And I feel like the plate is an arty farty thing. You kinda need to be that way inclined for stuff like that and I'm not... (which is probably the reason il happily tare a wall out of the house or change a stair case or whatever, but ask me to pick a style of skirting board or the colour of paint and I'm stuck haha that's what the Mrs is for tbf).. And..... Okay. Il cut the plate down tomorrow haha

id go bike sized font, stick on ,in the centre of the bumper, between the upper and lower orifices See as much as I'd agree.. I always think illegal plates are asking for a pull.. there sort of a two fingers up to the police and if you get a traffic copper having a bad day I always feel as if there going to hassle you even if everything is legit (barring the plate).. Wel see what it looks like after a trim down tomorrow see if the look grows on me. Cheers

I'd always aim to avoid the police, plates, tints, crazy loud exhaust, stretched tyres etc.
Life is easier without their attention.

Least they think they are (then you do exactly as they ask, down to putting the paint on the walls they've asked for) then it's some how wrong hahaha. Can't wait til kitchen gets delivered tomorrow and summats wrong despite her picking it

Std plate in std position looks loads better See id agree. If the plate was a smidge smaller and didn't overhang the contours of the bumper it would be perfect. Or it was a stick on and followed the bumper.. but then we're back to same issue of the police again
