Honda Accord Type R 2.2L H22A7 engine (209bhp with Vtec, redline at nearly 8000rpm) 5 speed manual gearbox with factory LSD Titan Silver Very rare optional leather Recaro interior including door cards and armrests MOT until 26.07.20 with no advisories Recommissioned for the last owner in 2018 – Top end engine rebuild including new head, valves, valve seals, timing belt, tensioners and crank pulley. New valve cover Front and rear mintex brake pads and drilled and grooved discs Installed stand-alone power steering cooler 5th gear synchro and clutch replaced by Vtec Direct July 2019 Also replaced at the same time: Sump (with baffle plate) Gearbox mount Front ARB D bushes Driveshaft seals, oil cooler and vtec solenoid gasket Oil and filter I have also replaced the PAS return pipe, various interior trim parts and the rear 'H' badge. Bulkhead is rust free and under the car only has surface corrosion. It has had repairs to rear wheel arches in the past, although they could do with being repainted now to bring it up to the same quality of the rest of the car. Overall the paintwork is very good apart from a few very small areas (I believe it may have been resprayed in the past). It has also been upgraded with: S2000 aerial (not currently connected) HEL braided brake hoses H&R Lowering springs Decat Both keys present and working, both with remote fob. There is a crack in the windscreen, however as my windscreen excess on my policy is high so I have chosen not to replace it as it hasn't spread any further during my ownership. There is also a very intermittent stuttering for about 1-2 seconds during the warm up phase (only after warmish start) due to an O2 sensor or the decat (or both). Does not affect the way the car drives 99.9% of the time, and I doubt most people would experience it. However as this is RR I'd prefer to be honest! The current mileage is 196,000 but the work carried out to this car in the last 2 years means it is in better condition that a lot of lower mileage cars. I would highly advise to come and have a look if you are looking for tidy and usable Accord Type R. Located in Herefordshire but could also be in Bristol during the week. £2600 - may consider PX for something interesting or usable for autosolos/testing

Thanks, yeah I personally think the interior is alot nicer than standard. Had I not been given the green light from my wife for future RX7 purchase I’d definitely be keeping it, especially as I’m losing a fair bit of money at this price after purchase and initial repairs!

That's lovely, always had a spot for these. I'm sure you're after a cheap run around but any interest in a swap for a black Mk5 GTi on 18" BBS wheels?

I should probably add, would be interested in a PX under £1000 that either involves a comfy diesel commuter or a small Autotest suitable petrol hatchback

Is this still available, and are you still looking for a comfy diesel commuter?

Would take £2600.... taking a huge loss on this but I now have an opportunity to buy my old MX5 back and don’t want to miss out.

In other news I took it out last night and both xenon headlamps are working fine, so not sure what happened last time I checked!

There must be about a grands worth of maintenance alone in the synchro and clutch renewal in the summer. That's a cheap way into a great great car. On very rare occasions I regret having to have a dog friendly car and this is certainly one of them. GLWS.

Yeah you’re about right there, I’d estimate I’ve spent £1500 over summer getting the important mechanical bits up to scratch!
