As above. I was given a full bottle of gas today. I reckon it's worth my while to buy a regulator and use it over the disposable cylinders I use now. Will it work well?? Any ideas what LPM I need to set it too?

used to use it many moons ago courtesy of one of the best landlords ever. not quite as good as argon-mix but good enough.

What size bottle is it? Might be able to assist with a regulator if it helps?

First you need to know if its pure CO2, I believe its sometimes mixed for the food and drink industry, might be with nitrogen, not sure.
If it is CO2 its a much better idea than disposable bottles.
Try 10 lpm, you might need more especially outdoors.
It is different to weld with than Argon mix, not as nice and you will need to adjust your welder but you will manage just fine.

We used to use it all the time, it actually took me a while to adjust to Argoshield when I started using it. Over the time I used it I thought it was fine, and TBH I don't see a huge difference with the argo. You can also use CO2 fire extinguishers if you turn them upside down. A mate of mine got a load of these free and has been using them for years. They do tend to freeze up a bit though on a long weld. If you don't like it, it's a good excuse to set up a beer keg in your garage.

Make sure you have plenty of ventilation and don't use it in a confined space

It will come in handy even if you never use it

Used fire extinguishers for a while no need to turn upside down. Local extinguisher company glad to get rid of out of date bottles as they cant do anything with them

12-14 lpm is what's recommended, it should work fine but never as nice a weld as argoshield light.
