People obviously pay it though, his turnover of stock is quite quick. Still, his hat is curse word

they certainly persuade certain types to pay strong dough for a load of old tat because its "on trend". all power to his elbow for that though.

I would love to know who is paying this sort of money, I have loads of old tat, a lot of it crops up on his show, that I would love to flog for that sort of dosh.
thanks to him though I might set up a side line in old shelves once I have found out who these people are, since he has kindly put the dimensions up. piece of curse word to make those

I love watching the programme and will watch it for as long as its on TV, i find it interesting to see what he finds and where he finds it, on a smaller, and somewhat cheaper scale I do the same myself, and Ive no doubt many of us do. But I could never walk into his shop, it'd be a waste of time. Id never pay the money he askes for stuff, I couldnt afford it and in many cases I honestly don't see how its worth it. That shelving is a prime example. I cant imagine how he priced it and i cant begin to think who'll pay that much for it. I must be missing something.
However, last week i wandered into my local 'upmarket' department store looking for a nice chopping board as a present. On the way out there was a rally nice large steel shelving unit with thick oak shelves. Authough it was probably new it was really nicely done and would have easily passed as something from 1900ish. Priced at £695 I auctually thought to myself if i had £695 to throw at a shelf, I would buy it. So mabie if I had bottomless pockets i might be silly enough to pay £2500.

Guess it's the same reason people will pay thousands for a Rolex when Timex will do the same job for £20, if you've got the money and like the look of it why not? (I have a Timex!)
He says he had a load of the originals so I guess he must have sold them for similar money.

I think it speaks volumes that he had a display in a well-known London store, tells you all you need to know about the target customer. I heard through the grapevine that he's not the sort of person that you want to deal with, but whether that's just jealousy?

Hes just not a very nice person, seen him in person a couple of times, first time a fan of the show said hello to him and he just walked off, second time getting aggy with the pole wash that they better not scratch his range rover. Fair dues if he can sell tat for thousands but his attitude stinks.

Snake oil just about sums a lot of his stuff up. I can't watch him as he annoys me so much that I'd love to punch him in the face, I was really pleased when I found out someone already has

odd isnt it...a very watchable show...fronted by a slightly annoying ex-ginge gremlin. its an odd format but works. prefer the restorers spin off though , i find the car one even more contrived , possibly because i know more about cars than tat , sorry , antiques!

Yeah I like the restorers spin off, Ive learnt quite a bit from that show. They all do some very impressive work.
I don't find Drew as irritating as some seem too, but I have noticed quite afew times that some of the dealers he buys from get a bit narked when he states things as actual fact a little too strongly sometimes. Not opinion, fact. So there.
And when they take pictures of his dog 'for scale'. I have never once seen a pic of that dog on his site, anywhere.

Dickhead selling over priced stuff to dickheads. He actually phoned us up to complain we were undercutting him with our reproduction lampshades in the past. Now hes the one hawking repro junk for more than an original is worth..
His TV show is largely fake too I'm afraid. They all are.
