Tilt only 👍 i don't recall my mums one being able to be wound back, first car with a wind back sunroof was the Orion in my signature 😁
Will ask her and my sister, see if they remember 👍
Mine is tilt only just now, haven't investigated any further into why it only drops on one side. Bound to be something obvious 🙂

Yes i had it off last week it started leaking on me so quickly put some tape on finally got around to looking at it I took the sunroof off and gave the seal a good clean so much rubish in it so fingers crossed that's done it

Guess the blue was only available for a couple of years then...makes it even rarer I suppose!
Most sunroof issues with that type I've managed to solve by a very thorough clean of everything, making sure the hinges are adjusted right (if applicable, not all can be adjusted) and giving the rubber a good coating of silicone lubricant. It's strongly hydrophobic so even if the seal is a bit marginal it will tend to discourage water from finding a way in.
Had one a good few years back (can't remember precisely which car on sadly) which used to leak like a sieve if you went near it with a hosepipe and I spent many weekends trying to resolve it. Eventually I realised that despite that, it never leaked a drop in normal use, so after that left it well alone and was just careful when washing the car.

Seems to be, was a cavalier colour i think! If I could ban sunroofs i would! My VR6, 1.8t mk4 and mk2 golfs have them but I do not open them at all. Seals are doing their job and I don't want to provoke them

Funny that in that I've never had any major issues with sunroofs that weren't resolved by a good clean. Only major leaker was in one Saab and that was purely down to neglect by a former keeper meaning there was a tree growing in one of the drain tubes. Ten minutes with some old curtain wire had that cleared out and it never caused me the slightest issue ever again.
One which caused the most irritation by a mile was the one in my first Skoda. Not because it leaked, but because any condensation on it used to drip right in my lap whenever I turned left of braked in the winter...
I do think ones which are used occasionally are probably more prone to trouble though...mine always tend to be open if it's even thinking about being vaguely sunny so don't tend to have the chance to jam up due to misuse.

I have a dealer fitted tilt sun roof in my Astra, damn thing leaks like a sieve, seals are shot as are the hinges, no spare parts I can find anywhere, not can I find a different sun roof that will fit. Siliconed it shut twice and both times a few days later I've opened it without thinking

My blower doesnt blow at all, got it moving then it seized up again!
I have one to fit but cannot see a way of removing its cowling on the rain tray without wrecking it so have left it be :-(
Hot air does come out the vents though, both to windscreen and centre console. No side vents on mine though 👍

Was out in Nova this afternoon, and can confirm that the centre dash vents only have cold air when hot to the screen! Every day is a vauxhall school day it seems! Had a wee fiddle with the idle position and mixture as it wasn't running right again, and struggled to idle without choke. Now idling well even with lights on etc... May be slightly high but all good in my opinion Got a thermostat, timing belt and pump to fit. Hopefully get round to that soon, but exhaust, front struts and bearings to do on the wife's 1.8t to do 1st....
