the 13s look ok, but i seriously doubt youll be able to get it low enough for the wheels to sit right in the arches without bits like the sump and chassis rails being subterrainious
plus your top speed will be about 50mph.......
the hunber is a fairly large car, even 15s with low pros will look small on it. they look tiny on my nissan anyway!!

13's (although I think a set of 15x8 compo ML's would work nice too) the 16's really are a little too much, only get away with them if you had big arches or something. But respect for tuning a hunter, not enough people do.

13's definately over the 16's, stretched tyres and slammed would be mint!
But then again I do agree with what Dez has said above^^ To be slammed enough to look good I reckon it's gonna be way beyond useably low
I think 14's or 15's would probably be a good move

forgot to say its a smart looking car! has anyone got any examples of em on different size wheels? Hard to tell with em tyreless. The Cossie wheel suggestion is certainly one to consider IMO.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Even thou the 16" look really good IMO ;D I am going with the compomotives although they are a little on the small side the design and the fact they are 8j is the clincher with a stretched tyre they will look amazing. The gold and silver against the light metallic blue bodywork is lush!!!!!!!!

Whichever you do, you'll have to lower it.
But if you go 13's, you'll have to lower it a LOT for it to be schwing.
I say eithr 15" or 16" with lots of dish, low and low profile tyres, as in 50 profile or less.

Righto heres the basic plan. The car will be in this style Basically the front will be how it is at the minute (with all 4 lights), an oil cooler and a lip spoiler as soon as I make one. As you can see that has arches and big wheels which I want to copy. Not sure where to get the arches yet, but they won't work with the 13s as I could slam it 6" and never get near the arches rubbing. My basic "formula" for the car was to make it look like a shonky japanese concept saloon that nobody has heard of which I found in a barn already modified. There will be some silly hints towards its englishness (a mr ben sticker done in the same style as mr sparkle etc) I've got 185/55 tyres already to go on the 13s. The last set I saw go on ebay in good condition went for well over £250 so I could sell them and buy something bigger. Whatever will be fitted will have silly amounts of dish, and super stretched tyres. Matt

My advice would be if you want somthing like that to work you will have to put what looks right before whats 'sensible'. That means going for the 13s
the principle of arches is it dosent matter what size wheels you have you can allways have the minimum arch clearance required.

i would go for big, wide wheels. best of both, like hovis. probably 15x9s...in some lattice/cross-spoke format...

The 13s don't stick out of the arches enough though so wouldn't need bigger arches anyway. I could definetley get it low enough to work on 13s but it would be south london look than j-look. Matt

if you are wanting arches, bmw 2002 turbo arches like bodie&doyle has on his are a pretty good option. and you wouldn't have to do too much to them to make them work on your car. you can get them from jaymics 01263768768 but then i'm biased as i've got a set for my capri ;D ;D ;D and i've got a soft spot for big wellers but you'd have to paint them black ftw

13's, but don't mess around with stretched tyres. They'll soon be out of fashion, put some proper 205/60's on them for a timeless look.

Those arches look perfect. I've decided on 15s, as I realised i've got a spare pair of cossie disks and calipers in the shed so gonna adapt those to fit.
