Let's see...
Objective #1 - sell the K70 as it's beyond my skill to fix. Done - swapped for labour on my Beetle, just need to get it out of the garden and onto a trailer.
Objective #2 - do something, ANYTHING on my Beetle. Nothing so far, I haven't even been to see the damn thing in 9 months.
Objective #3 - sell the MX5, it was supposed to be a temporary toy for last summer. No. Nooooooo. No. No no no. Not ready to let it go yet.
Oh and the Fiat Panda daily is still being reliable, but it's a 2013 car and therefore of no interest here.

Not well at all, work has taken over my life; I work on the road so when I do get home I want to spend time with my munchkins and the Mrs. Sold all but the 300ce and the Mazda5 but really if someone wanted them they could roll along also.
I need to get my mojo back

So far not as i'd wanted probably. I was looking at buying a more sensible daily classic like Merc 190 or W124... then realised id have two "boring" cars and my Escort was capable of doing the miles etc So i bought a 2.0 Capri Rolling project with an MOT. This has had more problems than i'd have liked and at the moment is sat on the drive with most of the dash out waiting for me to trace the electrical problems (may give in and get an auto electrician to do it). I thought i'd have more time to work on it but work and moving has kept me busy . Hopefully i'll get it rolling soon for summer. plus side of 2019 is i now have a drive way!!

These two miscreants are now fully road legal. I am very happy about this.

Plans for 2019 working out? Well not really!
Wifes too new Fiesta is a great car, but its been in for its MOT the last week, and the wife has been driving the Octavia. Decision time tomorrow when we get the Fiesta back as to, will she keep the car she loves, but not to drive, or take the car she hates but loves driving? One has to go to get onto the next one, but which one?
My Mondeo is just doing what a car should do and plodding along when required. Not getting used at the weekend enough though, whether that is for a blast, or because it needs some work, which it rarely needs.
Due to my father and son wanting a project, i now have a second Mk2 Mondeo that will be filling daily duties for me. It has its faults, has more than double the miles the other one has, but should give my son some experience to go with his new direction in life. All the very best, Geoff.

Not quite to our original plan. We started building an engine, that we want to fit for the Gathering and go up the hill again.... got a bit too focused on that, forgot to do anything to the Fug! So we failed to have it running as we wanted by April, but the Gathering isn’t until August anyway! So we’ve put the big engine to one side and have been sorting the Fug out a bit. Nearly ready for the Weekender (but no where near finished, obviously) but we wanted to change it from last year, and we’ve managed that! Once we are back from the Weekender, we need to swap the engines anyway as we are getting an exhaust sorted at the start of June, so it probably makes sense to wait until we get it back with it’s exhaust, sort the fuel pump and bits and then run it, so I guess if we rebuilt the carbs on the big engine we’d be ready-ish to go when we get it back from the exhaust. The Corsa is ready for Ella to drive, but we can’t get her insurance on it so she’s driving the Octavia for now..... so that hasn’t gone to plan at all!! But it’ll all work out in the end

So both dailys running well (despite a neighbours dad reversing into one a few weeks back! ) Mk2 still no further on than last time I posted! Garage plans drawn up and submitted to the planning dept about 6 weeks back. Waiting on a response (due anytime in the next 2 weeks) and have my Bricklaying trowel on standby!

My plan for 2019 is to see if I can pick up enough enthusiasm to do anything on my 67 beetle, and if not, flog it next spring.
I don't like its chances tbh as it has some of my least-favourite requirement needing doing on it - welding.
If by that stage it goes it'll have been with me for 2 years without anything major being done to it, and it'll be off to someone else with either more enthusiasm than me, or it'll languish with them for a few years until they end up doing the same!

Isn't that exactly what you are supposed to do with project cars? It seems to be what me and all the car people I know do with them anyway

Achieved getting the Nova its first ticket in 10years. Taxed, insured and mot'd Vr6 has a months ticket left Taxed, insured and mot'd Prepping the 2.0 8v for the 900 mile round trip to the weekender. Taxed, insured and mot'd 16v still needs steering column taken out of the 8v and put back in it then get it mobile so I can hide it to then get my garage roof done . Everything else interesting is mobile, legal and can be moved The way time is going it might not be done for another winter *** 2 Mk4 dailies are another story

Maybe there's the case to be answered for in my case that unlike most projects that are never completed, there's mine that are never started!

Id much rather sell to KGF decent people with a business to run that’s how it works??!!! Please don’t go down the eBay route , it’s full of complete numpties on there these days I advertised my uncles midget on there All I received were completely ridiculous offers and seriously stupid timewasters on it I’ve just sold the p6 rover on car and classic with no issues

^ I do agree about ebay, but the one way around the idiots is to price the car sensibly and just answer each and every one (as I did) with the phrase:
"Send me the link to another one currently on sale in the UK for that price or better and I'll consider your offer".
It shuts them up and you never hear anything more from them as they know you know the value of it.
I just sold my last project on ebay for full asking price (first time ever), using the above line about a dozen times on the "wots ur best price innit" type numpties until the right guy came along. It worked EVERY single time.
You only have one vehicle and only need to find one sensible person after all.
