This car belongs to one of our guys and it's been lying around our workshop 95% of the time, so due to lack of use it's up for sale.
1991 Karmann Clipper, later bigger bumper MK1 Golf Cabriolet
Has covered around 148k
Current MOT until 1st September 2019, but for close to the full asking price the advisories from last year's MOT can be sorted and a fresh 12 months put on (advisories were driver's wing mirror has a chip/crack in it and slight play in a rear wheel bearing, but will be replaced as a pair for the right deal)
In current ownership for around 3 years. It had been parked up looking sorry for itself with a very tired roof and poor paintwork, so he bought it as it previously belonged to a friend of his.
Since then it was fully recommissioned/restored, including the following:
New brakes all round
New Carb and general engine freshen up, all belts, gaskets, full service etc
Replacement alloys and new tyres
All exterior lights are new
New door handles
All new badges
Interior was totally stripped out, fitted new carpet and seat and door card coverings
New mohair roof (electric)
Full respray
Lots of other new pieces of trim and minor parts
Coilovers
Car looks very smart, starts on the button and drives well. I know a few members have seen this at our workshop and commented on how well it looks.
I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking. He's looking for £3695ono and there's been more than that spent on it recently, but there's room for negotiation or would possibly take something of a considerably lower value as PX if it helps. Delivery can be arranged to anywhere.
