looks fantastic, what do you think of the ABF in the mk2 chassis?
Awesome, the engine it should have always had. It's not 'fast' compared to modern hatches with around ~160bhp but in a light shell, the way it delivers it is fantastic. All the power is in the upper rev band so wants to be driven hard. The lightened flywheel has certainly livened things up too.
I've just bought my first mk2 golf Auto driver and plan on a ABF conversion. I'm going to start my own build thread soon but keen to read more of yours
Dragged the old girl out of the garage for insurance photos over the bank hol. Fired straight up and looked a lot fresher for a quick wash. Not a huge amount to report on as I promised myself I wouldn't take it apart over winter with the aim of driving it as much as poss over the summer.
Luckily my soon to be subaru powered T25 rotbox has helped distract me along with a new budget daily after my beloved E46 330 left for pastures new
Can not wait to be driving this again however some inconsiderate person has decided to have their wedding the weekend of the weekender...WHHHYYYYYY
