Hi all, I thought I'd post up some further info on the progress made. Again, apologies for the lack of pics, I really need to get my act together. After I got the front downpipe made up I carried out with the rest of the exhaust, I was pretty happy with how it turned out but was a bit concerned it might be a bit loud but time will tell.
I then went on to install the low pressure Facet fuel pump and filter under the bed and used the existing fuel lines up to the swirl pot. This was straight forward enough and seems to work fine. As you can see from the above pic in the last post, the HP pump and filter was plumbed in and everything was hooked up to a battery just to check for leaks and it all was good.

With the exhaust all wrapped and installed it was time to move on to the engine bay. I had mentioned previously about the rad porting issues I had, so I had a go at re-locating the bottom one myself with a trimmed plumbing fitting.. It looks ok but time will tell if it will hold water. This is the top fitting installed with a reducing hose. I had already managed to obtain an early legacy chargecooler, pump and rad so I made up some brackets to mount and plumbed it all in. The rad was a tight squeeze behind the grill but with some grinder action on the back of the grill it will fit ok. 2x 10" fans were installed on the main rad behind it, again not a lot of room. Next it was onto the battery and air filter arrangement. Obviously there was no room for the original air box so I took some measurements and had a dig around the battery shelf in my local motor factors to see if I could find a smaller battery with as close to the original required cranking amps as possible. Luckily I fnound one and even managed to use the original battery clamp with the new battery rotated 90 degrees allowing room (just) for the aftermarket filter. I know that some say that these could possibly cause issues with the MAF over time but I don't really have a choice. please excuse the dodgy wiring, this was just hooked up as I will get to. Fluids were replenished and it was time to tackle the wiring. I already had a loom made up from the original WRX loom, and it worked very well. hooked it all up and it fired up first turn of the key, with no leaks and the power steering is working perfectly which I'm very happy with. So, I still have a few jobs to do, tidy the wiring, wheel alignment, bleed brakes/clutch, etc but it's getting close. Oh, and it sounds really good, fruity but not crazy loud so I just have to hope the MOT tester agrees.

I'm abroad working at the moment, if I manage to get home in the coming weeks and have to isolate myself the progress will be much faster! Every cloud and all that..

OK, it is borderline criminal there isn't a video of this running.
What an epic machine. Great job!

Upload to YouTube and post the link here? Do you know approximately what bhp you’ll have? And how much does it weigh? Looks fun

I'll give it a go.
It was meant to be approx 270BHP and I have rolling road printouts from years ago so how accurate that is I'm not sure. The truck weighs approx 900kg, roughly half the weight of the WRX!!

I was looking at a Subaru Leone wagon. That would be another cool candidate for this conversion.
