A few more for metalshapes I suspect you know most of these cars, or the drivers or histories, or maybe you wonβt. But I love them, and the fact that the term 10 10ths may have been coined by them. Giant killers? Yeah, I love them. And I pretty much grew up as a driver with mine. ( Mine is not a works built Abarth, but a Fiat 600 I built with as many original Abarth parts I could get my hands on. And its racing history after I built it is real...) I've had it since the '80s. Today it is a bit battlescarred ( it earned every one of those scars, so I'm keeping its 40 year old paintjob), but mechanically its in better shape and better spec than it ever was. It was my only running car, so I drove it to work ( with earplugs in ) Its been through many seasons of competition ( with some success as we both got better ), long term storage, an international move, a divorce, and many many MANY hours of wrenching. I've jokingly called it my difficult girlfriend, and friends have given it nicknames too over the years. ( right now its lil'Red ) Here are some random pics ( the first combined one is of 2 pics, taken 25 years apart)

First two pictures Zandvoort and Valkenswaard (NL)? Thom Yeah. The later ones in Arizona and New Mexico. I took it with me when I moved. Which wasn't easy because almost everybody fought me on it. But some stubbornness on my part and knowing it was EPA exempt because of its age eventually made the problems go away... Here are some more pics of Zandvoort, Drachten ( drag race ), Lelystad ( ovaltrack ), Assen, & Soesterberg.
