Last weekend there was a hot rod and classic car meet at Hurtwood Polo Club, which I went along to.
Here is a picture - I am sure I took more but my phone is not playing ball.
Also there was something quite unusual:
A replica of Le Monstre - one of two Cadillac raced at Le Mans in 1950. The replica was built by a local chap called Derek Drinkwater (whose main business is running catering wagons for car events www.drinkwaters.co/) in six months and raced at the Le Mans Classic this year. Him and his wife were very pleasant and happy to chat about the car.
Excuse the rubbish photo as I only had my phone. It is basically a 1950 Cadillac frame with a spaceframe to support the body and standard Cadillac running gear with a five(!) carb manifold.
In 1950 Cadillac entered two cars into the Le Mans 24hours, one standard Coupe and the streamlined Le Monstre, and they came in 10th and 11th respectively.
The original car is at the Revs Institute in Florida:-
More details can be found here:-

Just to show the accuracy of the replica here is a picture of the interior of the replica:-
and of the original
