Hi All I've been on a 6 month long hunt now for a unit to build my 944 in, amongst other bits. Finding it VERY difficult to find anything suitable, stuff I do find is always too big & expensive just for myself and I cant seem to find people who are willing to come in on it with me. Is there anyone in here who is looking for unit space who would like to share? I'm looking for anything within an hour from Wolverhampton, So Wolves, Walsall, Stafford, Shropshire etc etc. If there is a few of us keen, with a combined effort to find something we may actually get somewhere. Having a project car sat in a garage (council, no power) that I can't really touch is doing my head in. Lets build some sweet cars in a sick workshop RR

I've been looking but have come across the same stumbling block as you. The right places are out there but it involves a few things:
1) Being realistic with cost; you can't expect it to be £60 a month a head when a garage from the council is that. I'm still unrealistic I admit! 2) Being in the right place at the right time. I know of places coming up but I'm also aware I could be waiting a while.
I have a space at the moment in a unit, but it really is a little too tight at fully capacity to suit my needs.

I'm happy with around £150 a month, obviously less is better. I think that's a realistic price?
Honestly feel like I'm banging my head on a wall most of the time lol.

I was attempting to go less than that! But yes, that's roughly the ballpark for me realistically too after looking around.
I'll keep you posted. I already know of a few people wanting in, but as always, it's a question of who wants to commit.

That's the maximum I could go to really. Would want to do a couple of foreigners from there to cover the rent tbf.
I'm a welder by trade, would just need to buy a tig and some other equipment.
Will make things for anyone who finds me a unit! aha

I'm also looking for something but more down towards coventry, Warwick, Leamington... maybe we could get together to find a space to suit a group share?

I'd be interested in sharing some space for projects. Wolves or Coventry probably aren't just right for me (near Brum Airport...) Maybe some log of as many as possible of those interested might show up a few of the right groups in the right sort of areas to suit all? I don't know how this would be done on here...

There might be room at earlswood trading estate.
Also I believe there’s some places on bakers lane wythall, use google images and you will see loads of cars an caravans in a field.

I pay £200 a month, have space for 4 cars to work on inside and 2 outside. My last place was £300 per month split by 2 of us and we had space for about 2 cars each inside and 3 outside between us. Aydon pays £200 per month I think and has space for about 8 cars inside. Cheap work space around here seems to be fairy easy to come across. About the only positive of living in Nuneaton 😂

I've actually managed to find a space now, outskirts of Birmingham with a bunch of my mates friends. Get the keys next week.
I'll keep this thread up though for anyone else looking.
Good luck to those who are, you're gonna need it haha! If we end up with a space at any point I'll pop it up in here.

Any space at the units where you are or are you aware of any in the area by any chance 😬 On a side note, looking for a unit or share space in Coventry, nuneaton, coalville, leamington or surrounding areas if anyone is still looking?

Bumping this again Need out of my current space as the people I'm sharing with are a nightmare.
Anyone know of anything in the Midlands? Anyone still looking who would consider a share?
If you're gonna moan about some dust from doing actual work on a car, borrow my curse word and not return and leave the place like a pig sty, don't apply.

Bit far for me really. I think I may be sorted but its not 100% yet. I've moved out and put everything into temporary storage for now, not idea but cheaper.
