It’s a 1932 Buckeye Equipment trencher; it was a technical marvel in its day with competitions against any other trencher or group of laborers. My father in law said it outran fifty people as it moved a 5gallon bucket a SECOND. They’ve run it on this farm since the fifties although it was owned by a neighbor until his passing at 102 years old a few years back. It was made here in Findlay Ohio so it’s still being used about ten miles from the factory. OSHA/Helath and Safety would have a field day with this thing!
The field they are laying irrigation tile in now is just over 200 acres and will be done in two days time. I didn’t know this thread was here but besides the new tractors you see in the backgrounds they still use Oliver 1850 and 1600 tractors and a Cockshutt. They fix things and keep using them rather than allowing them to rot into the ground.
