Had this for a year now, saw it on eBay with some really bad close up photos & a very vague description, watched it to the end when it went un sold, re listed with the opening bid a couple of hundred lower, so after looking at some right old sheds (rotten, mainly) made an appointment to view, so I could cross this of the list as another knacker!
Well what a supprise! The most rot free example I have ever come across, been smothered in waste oil since new, has lpg with under slung tanks, stainless exhaust, poly Bushes, tubular manifolds, cruise works, seats work, central locking works,said to the vendor, who else has been to look at this, he said “no one” 😀(right place, right time, for once)obviously I snatched his arm off.
it is let down by the paint, which has lacquer peel, someone has sanded off the old lacquer in places with a rough grade paper then re lacquered so you can see the scratches under the new lacquer!
Has a saggy head lining, needs a re spray, done 130000 feels a bit gutless so would possibly need an engine overhaul?
Gas tanks hold £30 ish & I get 150 miles ish so happy with that, it’s my daily driver & I absolutely love it!
