	Well it's a pain in the neck - glasses falling off whilst wearing a welding helmet / putting the helmet on and forgetting the glasses etc but there is a simple cost effective solution If you know what your glasses prescription is you can readily purchase magnifying lenses built to fit welding helmets - I had to trim mine to fit but so much worth the effort - I have x 2 magnification fitted to mine - all done for less than £9 Came from here but there are many other suppliers in the market www.r-techwelding.co.uk/phantom-active-welding-mask-magnifying-lens/

	Unfortunately only works well if the correction for each eye is about the same. Mine are too far apart. I tried buying 2 - one of each correction - cutting in half and fitting that. Sort of worked for bench welding where I could ensure I was looking straight ahead, but failed dismally when welding 'in situ'. The usual upside down inside a wheelarch stuff. The buy 2 fit 2 halves option might work with the goggles. I have only thought of that while typing this post! Reading glasses - the joys of maturity. Varifocals - I've arrived!

	I use a length of vac pipe from arm to arm to hold my glasses on

	I'll second the magnifying lens, made a huge difference for me - now I've got no excuse for carp welds!

	I've got no issue with glasses falling off, I get used to it. However, I've yet to find a way of getting around frying my nice glasses with weld splatter. It gets in behind the helmet and ruins the lenses. I've got a rough pair that I use but they're already almost destroyed completely.

	My dad wears varifocals and while he has no problem welding, when we were building my kitchen extension we found that one wall bowed out towards to top left! I could see it but dad couldn't until he took his specs off... had to redo the top 3 courses of breezeblocks!
