Hi all! So did me a little last minute purchase yesterday evening after selling my pride and joy (85 MK2 Fiesta 1.8 Zetec) I have been scouring the internet for months trying to find one close and cheap, luckily this gem popped up for a mere £495! Its a PURPLE! 97 Volvo 940 Torslanda LPT auto wagon with only 108k on the clock. So the plans are to give her a much needed service and health check: Oil Change Oil Filter Fuel Filter Air Filter Plugs & Leads Clean MAF Clean PCV Flush coolant Vac lines Check compression After the important stuff ill move on to the fun things: Manual Boost Control - up from 4psi to 12psi should be making 180-190bhp from the stock 135 Boost Gauage - Turbosmart - Check I'm actually getting 4psi Cut 2 coils from the front 3 from the back Recirc blank or BOV 3" Turbo back 3" MAF Bigger turbo Light blue injectors Wideband TLAO Chip IPD Adjustable Panhard Banded Citreon C6 Steelies Hopefully i can hit the 250bhp mark at some point in the near future. To conclude i just want a fast slammed turbo brick that i can comfortably camp in at car shows I will try to update regularly, this weekend should be spring chopping and servicing so ill take plenty of pictures. I photochopped her to give me some incentive

Definitely mate. Are you missing your little fiesta? I had a couple of barges after owning my mk2 fiesta and I could help but go back to having a hot hatch. Infact, i ended up buying two haha... I imagine this thing is kinda quirky to drive and they are really built like tanks!

if the colour is 'blackberry wine' then I had one of these (well my dad did but i drove it around when i was 17) and they are awesome, I really want another 940 turbo estate, but i'm looking for manuals, might have to settle for another auto though, something to thrash around and still carry axles, engines and sheet metal!

It was mint as well ill definitely go back to a hot hatch at some point but for now I'm enjoying the rwd and turbo hahaaa.

Nice car, love the colour. I’m not sure it needs lowering. Looks really good height in first picture.

Drift tax is rediculous at the minute 😂 there are a few cheap autos around still.

What a lot of car for that money, I love that colour as well. Totally agree. That's a whole lot of car for very little cash. Good buying skillz.

Good score. Another vote for not lowering it here. Is it possible to stiffen the suspension on these to improve fast cornering without losing everyday practicality by lowering?

mines on chopped heavy duty towing springs on the rear and I've towed a trailer without issue the biggest problem is when running a 3" system over the axle when lowered without it hitting either the floor or the axle

I had bilstien shocks b4 or b6 can't remember And just normal lowered springs the biggest difference was dropping the profile of the tyres (195/50/15) I ran toyo 888 Still get a fair bit of body roll but it handled quite well Done track days and a ring trip with this
