Yes strikey it's going to be working for a living but if it's painted it would be easy to wipe it over the seats Chris I'm still haven't picked anything yet but will be incorporating the colours of the cab not going with leather or vinyl as I had them in my other truck and they just sweat you in the summer and freezing in the winter think I might try the steering wheel in white it can always be changed if it doesn't work Bob - Let me know if you require a contact for suppling the seat & trimming materials

Got the engine and gearbox back in and running and mad a exhaust but the the bearings in the water pump was making a bit of a racket so replaced the bearings only to discover that it was also leaking so back off and sent to a company in Wolverhampton to be reconditioned and after fitting the radiator that is also leaking and already been reconditioned by the previous owner so think I'm going to wait till the water pump comes back and try some sealer in it if any one can recomend a good one

I though of that but it's in the centre section of the rad so it would all need reconditioned again wich wasn't cheap think it was around £360 so my idea was to try and seal it and hopefully it would last till I find a replacement one I know it would be better to have it done but my pockets are only so deep

K seal works well but if you can It would be better to try and solder it up.

Were it looks to be looking there's no way to get to it as there is three rows of tubes one on each side of the rad and one in the middle and it looks like the middle one thats leaking so it would need stripping that's only my guess might get a company to take a look just in case it a easy fix

No sign of any damage or impact I had one reconditioned for a mk1 transit a few years ago and that leaked when fitted but took it back and they sorted it

Another vote for getting it fixed rather than using an additive.
I know it’s not easy contemplating an unexpected spend, but you’ll have to deal with it eventually, and it’ll never be easier than doing it now.
I wonder if you could contact the previous owner and take it back to where he had it repaired? They might be prepared to look at it under warranty.

My worst worry about dying is my wife selling my stuff for what I told her it cost...

Additives are really good at sealing. ...........at sealing up the whole engine causing overheating issues. Do it right, do it once. Local guy to me only charged about £120 to recore a rad so shop around.

Just found the invoice for the rad it was done in 2016 so don't think they will cover it under warranty plus it was at Burton on Trent 140 mile round trip twice I'll ask at the local radiator guy

I'll add my voice to the chorus. Having had to deal with the aftermath of potions used to 'seal' coolant systems it's only really suitable for a engine you're getting rid of. K-seal, particularly, is an absolute to get out of the system and it does not prevent head gasket failure, it just makes it even more work to put right when the head gasket goes. It's rubbish that you have to get the radiator redone, especially considering how nice the rest of it has come together, but it really is worth doing it right and hopefully only having to do it the once.

Will the engine be cleaned up to match the exterior or are you going for patina under the bonnet?

Will the engine be cleaned up to match the exterior or are you going for patina under the bonnet? I wondered that ... you could perhaps resist the urge to crack on, and give it some TLC whilst the radiator is being saved up for and done ..? 😊

The engine will be cleaned and given a coat of paint but not going mad on it here's were I'm at with the rad cut the side bracket to have a better look it turns out there was a hole in in the front tube easy to get to so I've soldered it filled with water and there was no leaking so just got to wait for the water pump to test it properly.here is the leak
