I always take the chance to drive on the A259 if possible, as i like the seaside very much. Haha! I have to drive on the A259 on an almost daily basis and believe me, you're not missing out! Get off the 259 though and there are some lovely places, if you can get over, or rather around, the massive potholes that exist on every single A and B road on the south coast. Driving in this part of the world is about as appealing as haemorrhoids these days. Back OT, lovely Cortina

Back OT, lovely Cortina thx, it was actually a Super in E livery. of course i drive off the A259 if i have the time and it maybe different if you have to go there for work or if you are just touring like me. i have to go to work to Salzburg city centre and i really hate this place - would never pay a penny to spend a holiday there!

You and I are the same, just the opposite way round! I've been to Salzburg many times and love it, I'd live there in a shot. Sadly not been for a few years now, obviously. Anywhere in that area or Bavaria would be perfect for me. I also spent years in the 90s looking for a nice 1600E but never found a good one that was worth the money, so you're up on me there!

always had a soft spot for 60ies/70ies Vauxhalls, like this Ventora: The FD Victor, VX4/90, and Ventora were one of the few ranges which successfully scaled US saloon style down to European dimensions. Something to be reckoned with in its day, and infinitely superior to the competing Fords, which outsold them. There’s nowt as queer as folk. Especially car buying folk.

Renault 11 My first car was a 1984 GTL in Blue - still my favourite car colour. handed down from my dad in 1987 - learnt to drive in it. First three write-offs were in the same car. First motor club rally car, scatter car, trials car. Survived a lot of abuse over a lot of miles. Sledgehammered straight a couple of times. If we discount the replacement doors, wings, bumper, bonnet, it only needed a clutch, tyres and normal servicing. Probably the best car I ever owned. Went on to another career with my sister.

Here's a few more from London How is this possible these days? Surely DVLA and/or the council would ticket and remove this in weeks, if not days, but it has obviously been there months, maybe years!

Here's a few more from London Increadible to see. With land and parking spaces so expensive. The house must be equally overgrown. Sad that the owner is probably unable to tend the garden. If it's A862 MAH, it has been off the road for 30 years!

It wasn;t in that spot for long, last taxed in 1989, the garage around the corner said it appeared over a weekend, they reckon it was fly-tipped into that spot!

The house was pretty overgrown and is on a very posh street where houses go for millions, there was a Peugeot 205 special edition of some kind also there until recently but its 'disapperaed' now.....
