I know, but it was just the inferrance that the cars are abandoned.
I know that the De's attract alot of attention, some of it unwanted, but I don't bite and would rather someone paid me the courtesy of asking about my cars or asking to take pictures of them, rather then taking photos through my gates, putting a post on here and making assumptions about them on the internet for all to see and chat about without knowing the facts.
Roll on the new garage and some privacy!

It's the same with anyone who owns lots of cars and more than one of the same make and model. Wouldn't take it too personally, the internet is a big wide open space where people can come to whatever assumptions they want, heck someone out there could see the pic and slag you off for owning two wheezy renault engined back to the future wannabe Deloreans. They'd be wrong (because Deloreans are cool as is the Avantime) but it is just that, an opinion. Get a readers ride thread up for the Deloreans/Avantime etc and they'll get a lot of love I'm sure

Errr...if they'd "but poked a camera through your gates" then surely you wouldn't be able to see the gates in the picture? People have abandoned cars on their driveway a lot. Instead of coming on here, and your first and second posts being full of hatred, take some time to look through the previous 252 pages of "abandoned" cars then count how many are on drives. I think it'll be a high number to be honest! Calm down, enjoy the forum...and be nice!

phil2600s, my post was not "full of hatred" I was merely very p'd off at being told by friends on mine on another forum that my cars were being banded about on this forum as abandoned, and I came on here to put the record straight - is that such a bad thing? How would you feel if your pride and joys were being portrayed in such an awful way? If you've got a 'retro cars spotted' thread then fine, but this thread is all about abandoned cars, and my cars are very much NOT abandoned!!!!!!!
I havent got time to wade through the other 252 pages, but having seen a few, I get the drift, and it would appear that quite a few shots are of peoples private property.
Do you now see my point and why I feel aggrieved?
And yes, in US form the De did have an underpowered PRV6 engine, but thats the Californian emission regs for you........ get them over here, whip all emmissions curse word off, replace with Euro spec items, and the car is alot more usable on modern roads considering it is now 30 years old.
Skinnylew, I'll have a think about that suggestion, and thank you for your kind words about Avi - she's a bit of a Marmite car to some folks, but we've had her from new, love her to bits and will never sell her (or the De's, the Cav's or the Sera), but the Samba Cabrio will be up for sale once its restored.

I don't think the op meant anything bad other than to show others(us) what people have just lying around.Ie parked on driveways etc,How many times have you noticed things and thought oooh i wonder who that belongs to and is it for sale lol. If the post offends you then maybe a mod can delete your pics,Also seeing as you seem to have a very good interest in cars maybe become a member as i for one would like to see some better pics of your cars,The unabandoned ones of course.

thank you Mark, tbh, I did find the post offensive (call me a sensitive, hormonal pregnant woman lol), but no need to remove them, and yes, maybe I will put some pics of our fleet of 9 cars in a seperate post for anyone who would like to see what an eclectic collection of vehicles we have. On the shopping list are a Triumph Acclaim and a VW Camper/Bus btw

As far as I know, all the astons are gone. The location was the Aston factory site at Newport Pagnell, which has now been cleared, and I believe a Tesco will be built there. The Works Service across the road is still there. If you looked over the fence from the Tyre depot you could see the cars in the pictures.

Guinney, I've removed the pictures of your cars from the thread for you. Whilst I don't think that the original poster had the intention of making your cars out to be abandoned I do feel that you have the right not to have them posted here.
Nice collection, by the way. ;D

It looks to me like a normal 964 convertible, height of the plate and style of rear lights but I'd love it to be a 959...... It IS a normal 911 convertible, it had a bodykit fitted to make it look like a 959. It has recently been spotted in London (the photo above on the back of a truck) so it would make sense... Yes confirms as 911 Registration: C13ENN Make: PORSCHE Model: 911 (CONVERTIBLE) Colour: WHITE

Apparently these have all been baught for racing now [/quote] the capri has been bought by someone on here if you read the thread, and he belives its only good for spares. after 20 years, sat, outside I'm sorry but no1 would want to put the kind of money needed into saving cars that can be had in good condition for a 10th of what it would cost you to fix up! your issue should be with the guy whos let them sit and rot!
