2 x net finds That is from the village of Kaufdorf in Switzerland and the fabled Messerli Autoverwertung Yard and it's recent auction. The owner of the yard is/was called Franz Messerli. I say is/was as he was issued with a clearance order by the local authorities and his estate auctoned off most of the vehicles he had. The bus is called a Luxus Car and was converted by a German company called Auwarter. They were built from 1960 through to 1962 during which one was built every month each one being unique to the next one. They were based on a commercial spec panel van but then heavily modified as seen in these pics: That last one was featured in Camper & Bus Magazine a few months back and is now being completely rebuilt to concours by Bug Box for the rather well-off owner. This one is not the one from the Swiss auction but it is clear that someone has bought it.

Acclaim going back to nature Apparently that's been sitting there since 2004! Looks fairly sound though, got to be worth saving? Wild guess on the car behind - Cortina?

amazed at the amount of old tin and yank iron lying around in Norway that would be worth a kajillion pounds here hear they don't put salt on the roads there in the winter (cos people can actually drive there......) which i guess explains the good condition of older cars, also guess there isn't the 'oh its over 5 years old its an old banger' mentality as they have here

Mercedes and Volvo from 75-90 are big here..as Golf and Sierra. Some of them are in real nice conditition too.

Solo Italia are a Fiat Coupe specialist, so I would think they will be used for parts, or awaiting a refresh - they don't tend to get scrapped or left to rot unless they are really not worth saving. Having bought a fair few bits from them over the years when I had myy 20V Turbo, they're pretty passionate about them (as I was with mine ) so if they are functioning they won't be there for too long...

I love this thread and so I decided to join Here is an abandoned Triumph 1300 FWD - abandoned by my own parents! It has been sat in my uncle's yard for years. It was last on the road in 1998. I'd imagine if anyone wanted it an agreement could be made The bike looks interesting , what it is?

Those old bikes in Will's post look interesting, I'd have said an old Honda that's behind the Triumph......I guess the OP would know for sure.

You NEED to save this asap!!!!! ONE DAY HE WILL PUT 4 SALE IN THE WINDOW A Probably when there's nothing much left of it, I tried buying a bug from someone locally who said they were going to restore it on day. 15 years later the poor thing had 'self dismembered' all over their drive, it was just about salvageable when I asked 15 years before.

That is ours as well Tbh I had completely forgotten about it!

That's because there is a letter missing from the end which cannot be seen in the picture It came up when I checked on the Online tax system earlier. But it obviously isn't on the new system as it was off the road way before that came into force. We are open to offers on it if anyone is seriously interested?
