It would make a good chassis for a rebody and the drive line looks to be relatively intact, would have thought it was well worth the starting price for spares for anybody who has one... Bet the chain driven LHD -> RHD conversion was awful to drive with though.. That frame is toast. Also that drivetrain is shagged. I know someone knowledgeable in all things SJ who has seen it in person, and they are of the opinion that it was stored underwater at some point. And that was 10 years years ago! It's been left outside since then. However, the rhd/lhd chaindrive and linkages are surprisingly good. No slack or OMG! moments in the three i had with conversions. Fortunately the one i have now has a proper rhd conversion. |
