It's been a good while since I spotted anything of note but we took a walk along the rochdale canal with the mutt today and came across these. some of these were taken from quite a way away then cropped so excuse the quality. The Omega in the background looked like it had been stood for a while too. The harsh northern climate has stripped the panels from this old Rangey. Hard to see but this is a bare Mini shell in someone's garden. Finally, not sure this was abandoned but it was stuck out behind a factory unit.

I know what you are thinking at - yes, that's a nice bicycle; it's an Orbea.

Interesting, although typical TG opinionated viewpoint. The Yugo Sana had 'appalling looks' apparently. Admittedly, it wasn't the prettiest thing out there, but it wasn't particularly different to many others in '87. The fact it was built on a Fiat Tipo floorpan and bears more than a passing resemblance to a Citroen ZX (which was released later than the Yugo Sana) does it some favours too. As for this little honey, just, wow. I owned a Colt Mirage (the one with the extra gearstick - awesome!) in the early 90's for a brief period, which was the same shape as this. Would absolutely love one. I wonder how many are left on the roads in Japan?

Tell me you've saved that large plastic vehicle.... Sent from my toilet using proboards Yes I did! After a long day moving boats, loose engines, lorry differentials, tyres and random rubbish, pushing the SHADO jeep inside my garage wasn't a breeze. Considering that it hasn't got any tyres, and the front axle is missing. I had to lift it from the engine bay as the body wasn't strong enough, being all made in timber and fiberglass (not plastic) and then pushed it backward, kicking an original 10" wheel to keep the belly of the vehicle far away from the floor. IDY said: I know what you are thinking at - yes, that's a nice bicycle; it's an Orbea. Please tell me a build thread is planned? Of the bicycle? Yes. on bikeforums.net, I want to make it like one of these beauties. Of the SHADO jeep? No... I got it because contacted by a gentleman in UK who wanted it. When all the missing parts are collected (the front subframe, random screws and bolts, the missing rollbar) and after I'll go and try to retrieve the original missing 4 doors from the guy who sold it 10 years ago to the man I bought it from, hoping he still has them, it will be shipped over to the UK and restored. I have been told that 10 years ago it was nice, but got bought because of its low mileage (namely 1,900 Km) and got stripped of its engine, steering rack, Motolita steering wheel, dashboard and everything that could go on the old owner Mini. Then he left in the sun, wind and rain to rotten. In the meantime, also the windscreen got brittle, and cracked.

Thanks Phil, Then, when I have enough time (and money) to go and see on the continent again these beauties. I really want to try and save the 192x Hillman 16, me likes it - a lot. The problem is that then the transport alone would be close to £ 1,000 and I ain't rich... So it has to be real cheap. That's complete, just the front hubcap missing. And a 193x Austin 14:

That is brilliant that it's been saved, well done for getting involved. It's a large part of mine and many others childhood there, I only wish it was coming to my garage instead of someone else's lol. Please be sure to put the new owners in touch with this site so we can track it's progress

Of course, I'll let him know, he obviously knows about this site because it's where the car first appeared. Although from the emails I got from him I can easily understand he is a man of very few words. I don't know if he will ever do a build thread or something.
