Intrested to know, but in Germany, Austria mabey Norway etc, if a car isn't taxed, do you need to remove the number plate by law?
|

In Norway, you will have to turn in the numberplates to "biltilsynet" or DMV as you will say if you are not going to use it. If not the taxes will continue to run and you will end up with paying the taxes anyway. The same with the insurance. All of that is rather expencive if you are not using your car. The roadtax is 262£ a year.
