So a hectic weekend meant I only got the rears done. The car is surprising in two ways: 1 - it's so very grotty underneath. Like impressively so. There's going to be a fair bit of welding to be needed... 2 - given how grotty it is, I've only had one bolt seize so far. The heads all seem to be solid and the breakerbar is doing a great job. Current look:
Between the lift kit and wheel radius increase, I think its about a 7" lift.

I did put up a cam to timelapse the work, but looking at the photos, the majority of it will just show me looking in a wheel arch and poking tools in there, or worse, away in teh garage, so it'd be a timelapse of an mx5 on axlestands, so unless there is demand for such accelerated activity, I probably won't bother.
But this pic I do like. My eldest son helping and being interested. It's definitely better than the time his younger brother filled the exhaust of the beach buggy with spanners...

indeed - I'm not expecting to win many races in it tbh... and it's more about the fun side than anything else...

bit of a trim front of the rear arch, and front and back of the front arches. but otherwise very little mod required.

Loving this! I posted pics of a lifted mx5 on the lifted cars thread about a year ago. Tempted to go the same way with a Peugeot 406 coupe I happen to have laying around.
Thanks bud! it's both a bit tricky and surprisingly simple. Can always undo it...

Wonderful bit of positive input there. Read the forum MO? Because I take it you have not.
OP: love it. Keep at it, it looks great!
Thanks
