Yes... I must admit that was my one reservation about the rosette, but I felt it had a nice nod of tribute to our glorious industry though.
I thought it might be worth remaking the BMC rosette, but in drab browns and gloomy greys. Onl trouble with that is it might lose the link back to the original.
I guess, on reflection, I am probably hoping for something more despairing.

I've just filled in the club stand form thingy. I've put us down for 10 vehicles. Obviously there needs to be some space left in case we fill all 300 spots as I have confidently predicted we will, but for now, I've gone for ten.

Goddess is equivalent to about 3 or 4 normal vehicles and none of us have a normal vehicle so might be a bit tight. Also I have one of those geodesic(ish) event shelters that we can shelter in from the event after we've zipped up the sidewalls. That will stop people coming up and talking to us so the whole raison d'etre of the club, i.e, we have no mates, is not compromised and the logical inconsistencies of the whole experiment does not create a quantum singularity and we end up in some sort of dungeon dimension of concours specialists. Just sayin' Also can you invite georgeb as we know he won't turn up and that accentuates the the no-mateishness of the club

Okay, maybe I should edit to 16 vehicles. Somebody I barely know (HE'S NOT A MATE) is also coming along and will either be bringing his Retro Toyota camper or possibly his Rover P5b. We're not friends though, as that goes against everything this club represents.
GeorgeB, you are officially invited.

Re: Acty... Okay, 15.5 vehicles.
Re: Zip-up tent... Perfect. Does it have zip up inner capsules for each of us too? Not essential. More of a 'nice to have'. I might bring my own windowless kiosk if not.

I've put it at 15 vehicles. I'm too scared to go any higher.
We don't get charged by the vehicle/size do we?

Wow, I've received a personal invitation from the very President himself, which I accept with honour. Then of course, I won't turn up, thus keeping the ethos pure. And even if I did have any mates, which I don't, they probably wouldn't speak any English anyway. In fact, apart from the man who says "Another beer, Sir?" the only people I ever speak to seem to be under dressed young ladies asking me to, "...buy me dink, hansum man" and I don't think they count. Hope you have a great weekend making no new friends at all, and I promise not to leave the house.

Good man, Good man what what!
RetroRides, please extend the BNMAC pavilion plot by one more vehicle, for our absent friend Georgeb. The extra spot will remain poignantly empty, and we will be ignoring it with the same dedication that we will be ignoring each other.
(a mere technicality for your future reference Georgeb, but I am the emporer before I am the president and therefore I must be addressed as such in any correspondence, or when I'm being ignored. Ignoring an emporer requires a different kind of etiquette than the ignoring of a mere statesman. I expect all people at all times to have their back to me for example, even when serving me soup or providing a Turkish shave).

(a mere technicality for your future reference Georgeb, but I am the emporer I profoundly apologise and shall hereafter address you as Emperador - for that is what I'm drinking. Note:- Not my thumb - too manicured Not my glass - too small Not my bottle - too full Their guff says "Emperador Light is ideal for every occasion and all bonding moments with close friends." but as I haven't got any of them, I treat it more like roofies. Apart from that...

According to this thread forum.retro-rides.org/thread/201307/club-booking-open club bookings are now open. Does this mean our Emperador @quatermass has to book the club stand and then we add ourselves to it later? Or have I misunderstood the system? It's entirely possible, I have to admit I'm utterly baffled by this whole Weekender, how it works and where and when we're actually supposed to park up there. It's soooo confusing. Too many words and not enough explanation Figure it'll all work out in the end though

If you’ve already registered your car then there’s a link to edit your details to add on the club code.
