Haha, yeah, the tat. I do generally get the tat. People seem to think "He's really into old cars, let's get him a tee shirt with a VW Camper on it and one of those £4 multitool+torch+workbench+Bluetooth+flask+soldering iron things, which fall apart and can't actually reach anything because they're the size of a King Edward potato, but softer". It's the thought that counts though. At least it's not a gift box of Umbro sports toiletries. My favourite from years ago was from an Aunt who'd been seduced into buying me a specially combined brush for cleaning wire wheels and grilles. At the time, I had a '66 Sunbeam Alpine, which had neither! Bless.

These are mine from Mrs Minty ... ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171226/b593cea11263ae51d533b5482c375cf9.jpg) The light box not strictly car-related but dare say it will be used at shows in the Elgrand. The model kit is from Kent models, I actually saw this one at their stand at RRG and dropped hints but also sent a link a few months ago but thought it had been ignored so receiving it was a bonus. Then the 12 month subscription to retro Japanese mag was a complete surprise, I don’t even know really how she knew it was an appropriate magazine and purchased off the back of a mailing list email. I also had some Lego and a storage caddy which I dare say will get used for something car related. Merry Christmas all. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

I had a Beetle t-shirt off my wife, but it's a ice one so happy with that. Beetle calendar off the in laws which is also good as I need a calendar! Parents got me a pair of Mechanix gloves and a hat with a pair of bright leds in the front which will be really useful for working on the Beetle on the drive over winter!

1968 Cal Look Beetle - 2007cc motor - 14.45@93mph in full street trim 1970-ish Karmann Beetle cabriolet - project soon to be re-started. 1986 Scirocco - big plans, one day!

Nothing.
But that is OK too.
In Grizz Towers, every day is Christmas.
So if I need something, Santa Barclays or the PayPal Elf gets it for me.
Santa will be sending me a complete towbar for the Berlingo, soon as he figures out from all the gibberish on EBay which one will be the right fit.
The Elf needs to bring me a new complete torch for the welder too.

The children got me a car scratch removal kit. Maybe it'll help with all the scratches they've put on my Falcon.

The Elf needs to bring me a new complete torch for the welder too. Euro? Hallo mate, Sadly not. It's a Clarke weld MIG160TM Turbo Worked well up to the point where the torch started to fall apart. And I do not believe one (at least not this one, i.e. Me) can replace it with a Euro torch. ![](http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm90/niknakpix/bicycles/E34A097D-87AF-44C3-A64C-33D3C74BCD3F_zps8wxf7ilm.png)

Got a Worx impact gun from the Mrs: ![](http://img.retro-rides.org/i/v/sarkie83/3238bd366f4a.jpg) ...which I am very happy with. A copy of Midrunner on PS4 (which is surprisingly satisfying to mindlessly play): ![](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/VIdyrfnnfgA/maxresdefault.jpg) And then the present which made me excited rush outside and instantly try it out...a ROTATING RED BEACON!

Unfortunately or fortunately whichever way you look at it, I only have a Euro connector torches in the shed. S'pose I had better also make an attempt to keep the thread on track as well - I got a new wool hat to keep my head warm whilst out working on the cars.
