mmmm... 3 options here I think. stolen , abandoned , or p poor parking. in all circumstances I would get on to the old bill...if you can spare half a lifetime for them to answer their "non-emergency" line!

The CCTV camera at the top of the tunnel should give a clue to the old bill.

London is strange for this. Not so long ago an orange T2 van shell appeared overnight in the middle of an estate in Camden, it didn't even have any running gear so must have been plonked there by a crane of some sort. It wasn't too bad looking either. Would make a nice home for a Hobo. I reckon new owners developing old units into urban sanctuaries with no clue about motors or time to faff around dealing with the hideous thing darling just drag any big stuff out for the locals to get their teeth into.

I reckon new owners developing old units into urban sanctuaries with no clue about motors or time to faff around dealing with the hideous thing darling just drag any big stuff out for the locals to get their teeth into. Dorset is also strange for this, especially round our industrial estate where a local family of 'scrap metal recyclers' have been doing it on an industrial scale with stuff that is in varied states of not taxed, SORNed or MOT'ed. However, earlier this year they dumped a large modern Volvo lorry on the access road, not public highway, to some warehouses with the plates removed. Obviously it was the straw that broke the camel's back as some kind person put signs on the lorry and the rest of the old tat which said 'FREE - strip me for spares'. A warehouse CCTV picked up the Volvo with the cab tilted forward and a prospector mining the engine bay as the dumpees turned up. There was much arm waving, shouting, threatening behaviour and pointing at the sign that had been placed on the lorry. Luckily no blows were exchanged as some of the prospector's mates turned up and everything was removed that weekend. How we larfed.

I've always got through in the first few rings, but that's because I have the landline numbers to our police control room
