A week or two ago i traded the beige sierra for a diesel bimmer, as a spurr of the moment thing.
From this
To this..
Obviously a total turd, body is dented and rusty, 650000km on the clock and overall terrible.
It has sport seat though, sadly they don't match
The wiring is overall terrible and mostly non functional..
And when i went to see my local friendly MOT man, he gave me this.
Issues included illegal engine modifications, no muffler, worn ball joint, brake problems, rust, bad tyres, oil leak and loads of lights not working, due to the lovely electronics..
One very late night later with a few friends and a few beers we sourced and installed a stock turbo
Built a mot-friendly exhaust
And fixed most of the issues, although rear fog and reverse lights still wont work even though i've torn the entire interior to pieces searching for the problem..
The result was a very impressed MOT tester and another year of care free motoring
Obviously the proper turbo and 3" pipe went back on a few hours later
A week or so later i got a package from germany
We fitted them last night, obviously wound all the way down..
And welded on some sump protection, i've actually started building these BEFORE cracking the sump nowadays
There was some other weird issues to sort out as well..
Sadly the results were everything but impressive, and i don't think it needs the sump protection..
Next step will be to get some shorter dampers, and i have some nice paint ideas as there's quite a bit of the beige left from the sierra...
Non-orthodox wheels are also comming
